Assuming it's not the port maybe the battery level indicator is broken? If it seems to not discharge either after using it (and it's stuck at 4%) then that's it. In that case the phone should charge properly but not indicate it. Maybe ...

Stuck at 4%, won't charge.

Indeed should last long after it stops receiving security updates.
