Just flash the CP and home CSC files from the latest patch (android 13 version Jan 2023 patch) using odin. 5G will work in android 12 itself. I am using. Do this correctly.

If 5G was available in Android 11 on this device, I will have never updated the device. Samsung activated 5G only in Android 13 update here in India. So I updated it to Android 13, One UI 5.0. I will not update the device further. With every update from now on, the company will try to reduce the performance and battery backup of the device so that the user will have to buy a new device. (These are my thoughts only)

I'm curious, why is everyone so starved for "Latest Android"? Majority of apps are updated with the bottom tiered Android (as of yet, Android 7 is still supported) and even Galaxy store apps are updated on older phones.
Most older flagships still work flawlessly with older android versions - for example, S9 is still capable of everything.
And this phone, the last true FE, has everything to keep it going strong for another 2-3 years if someone updates to the last OS update it will get (android 13).
Snapdragon 865, 5G, 8 gb of ram, SD card, telephoto camera as well...

What bothers me a bit is I'm not sure i the cache could be cleaned seperately or onl just that little broom widget does it all (it notifies about memory being cleaned up afterwards though).

Iwas considering some others, but those don't have it (Google Pixel 6a, Xiaomi 11T Pro etc.) I used a Huawei P8 for 6 years which still worksand has some little flaws but is good (+ screen broken at top).

Too bad samsung ends major support for this fabulous phone. If it had atleast reached android 14. Samsung forced users to pick the s21 FE for longer software support, but that meant sarcifing our last favorite feature, the SD card. If samsung wasnt greedy and kept the SD card, readded the headphone jack and had the same battery life as the S20 FE 5G, maybe it had could been a true FE phone. Atleast I hope samsung will not drop the older flagships to quaterly updates just like they did to the S9 and S10 (and so did the note series).
