One of the best fan edition phones ever made by Samsung, sadly they won't make any in the future like this one!

I let my S20 FE 5G do this about once a month. My carrier is Verizon here in the US. Verizon also utilizes the mmWave frequencies, called Ultra Wide Band (UW), in some of the big cities as well as other venues like sports stadiums and arenas. I used a speed test app while in MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. My speed? 1.8GB. At my home, my 5G speed averages about 250MB.

Please check the manufacturing date of your device
You may reach out to the service center to get it checked
If everything is fine
Let me tell you, when you first set up the phone, it remains warm for few hours, maybe a day or two.
Also, expect battery drain more than normal.
It may be just because of a recent software upgrade, synchronization of data and the phone optimises everything.
The phone comes to it's beast shape within a week.
If it does not improve reach out to samsung as soon as possible.

This has not been the case for other phones non-Samsung which I have bought in similar "new" conditions i. e. no longer produced.

Samsung, I would think, is not building anymore S20 FE 5G's. A rechargeable battery needs to be charged, then fully discharged, several times in order for it to hold as much charge as possible. Your "new" phone may have been sitting on a shelf somewhere and the battery may have lost some of it's ability to hold a complete charge.

An update on this phone after almost one year of use. I can recommend it. When I was looking for a phone to replace my Honor 8, the specs I was mostly concerned about were the processor/memory (I wanted no lag), battery life (which was the main downside of my Honor 8), camera (it should be at least decent) and software support. This phone delivered on all these points, particularly on the battery side. I am a heavy youtube watcher, and it is hard to kill this phone in one day. Performance is smooth, camera is fine, I appreciate the versatility and the phone should be supported for a while longer.
Onto the downsides, the phone feels big in the hand and I have fairly large male hands (wear size 10/11 in gloves), the operating system comes with quite a bit of bloat and the factory-applied screen protector scratches easily. Really, the size is the biggest issue for me. However, I am unsure I would trade the size for less battery life.
It's a good phone, was it worth the 670 Euros I paid for it (in Sweden, where things are more expensive)? When considering that my Honor 8 cost 350 Euros (say 400 in today's money), I would say yes IF software support proves to be on point.
If they can make it just a bit smaller, without sacrificing battery life, the phone would be great. Battery life I think is extremely important if you want longevity. My Honor 8's usability greatly diminished after 2 years of use because of the battery life. I expect this phone to still be usable after 4 years.
