Sponge, 12 Dec 2020So in other words it should acceptable to on look at any co... moreI'm not saying don't question, I'm saying don't bash an unreleased product. It's nice to have leaks and see what companies are doing behind the scenes, but people don't understand that what they see on the internet isn't always real. Question the companies choices once the product exists, not before they've announced it.

My main issue is that people complain about specs on paper rather than the actual usability of the phones. MP count and material choice as well as processor and display cannot be criticized because they look bad on paper. Use the device, try it out for yourself, once you find things you don't like about it, then write your opinion on it. Everyone wants to see large companies like Samsung and Apple go with extreme specs. Just because newer and smaller companies are doing this to differentiate from the rest, doesn't mean it's necessarily a good design choice. Just go with what works, and slowly upgrade what you have (if it's good), if something doesn't work, try something different, or just improve it until it works.

Its ok to sell a phone which has a premium price tag but that it should have plastic on its back, clearly this material is fitted to phones half the price of the flagships Samsung is selling.

Its ok to have plastic but not an Exynos 990 on a flagship phone?

I recall reading that Samsung's previous head of its mobile division DJ Koh had been questioned by Samsung Shareholders over the Exynos 990/Snapdragon 865 fiasco....clearly Samsung is heading for another of these issues, perhaps to do with the cheapening of the exterior build materials, but it's for nothing other than to save scrounge more saving out of the company.

Sponge, 12 Dec 2020The Ultra may be an overall large phone but that means it&#... moreWhat I'm saying is the camera lens protrusion is less noticeable when the phone itself is larger.

WhyIsNothingEnough, 12 Dec 2020only the s21 (not s21+) is plastic, which is good for durab... moreThe Ultra may be an overall large phone but that means it's gets to be thicker unquestioned?

Its nonsense, we may be speaking a mere 1-1.5mm to add this larger sensor, not to mention the sensor size on the latest 108mp HM2 is actually smaller than the HM1.

why, 12 Dec 2020why is nothing enough :(I made that my name because most of the people who are vocal about their opinions on "how trash modern smartphones are" just keep listing pointless 'on-paper' specs that have almost no relation to how good they are in actual use. (i.e. Sensor MP count, sure the picture gets sharper, but nobody's gonna see that on Instagram). The main argument that keeps showing up in newer phones is flagships having plastic backs.
                          1.They're cheaper to replace
2.They have a matte coating making them easier to hold
3.They keep the weight of the smartphone down because plastic is lighter than glass (when same size pieces of both are compared)

Every time a new smartphone is leaked, people start bashing the manufacturer before the damn thing is even released. They just jump on a hate bandwagon for absolutely no reason. They weren't ever considering the phone, so why are they here just to bash it. If they're opinion isn't gonna contribute to the overall help, then they should just ignore the phone and keep living they're lives without it. Instead of just straight up bashing the product and saying things like "RIP Samsung, you've killed your own business with this product", tell them what you have an issue with and suggest an improvement instead of just going for their throat.

That concludes my essay on spoiled people who complain about things they have no idea about.

Sponge, 12 Dec 2020But of course fitting the 108mp HM2 and a 12mp Ultra-Wide w... moreonly the s21 (not s21+) is plastic, which is good for durability (I don't get the problem with it)

as for the 108MP camera argument, I see where you're coming from, but the reason that only very big phones have those sensors is because they are massive sensors. If you were to put that 108MP sensor into a smaller phone (s21), it would be way too thick, or the camera bump would protrude way too much.

phopne performs poorly and takes bad photos, i have been lucky enough to use it early and i'm not imperssed

WhyIsNothingEnough, 08 Dec 2020Well if you want camera specs for cheap, just buy a used p3... moreBut of course fitting the 108mp HM2 and a 12mp Ultra-Wide would surely create the same capability of having a 12mp Main, 12mp Ultra-Wide, 64mp Fake Telephoto(1.1x).

Given that the 108mp pixel bins down to 12mp, yet being able to switch to 108mp for maximum resolution output and using all those 108mp to crop into 3x digital zoom and that sensor can still output 8k videos...

On the Ultra model, we really should be seeing a 108mp HM2 digitally zooming to 3x, a 48MP 3x optical Telephoto digitally zooming before the 10x optical folded zoom takes over.

The S21 and S21+ are trying to fill to many criteria whilst being to expensive, not to mention the prospect of them being constructed with plastic as well as going overkill on the 12GB of RAM, if they are back to S10-era prices

i don't understand why GSMArena keep stating that very stupid spec like 32 bit / 384 khz audio although it does not even have a headphone jack...
