The average scores first in geekbench are outdated, second there's Geekbench 6 now, coming straight to the point is that your scores seems to be lower than average S21+, specially your single core score, it should be arounf 3400/3500 points, not 2813.
But there's a chance that you get a low yield Exynos chipset.

(And more after 3th time, my unit was boiling) But mine were above the average s21plus exynos. So def no faulty unit. I am not complaining about my s21plus. I am happy with it. Before this one i had the oneplus 8t (snapdragon) that my son uses now and before i used the s20fe (Snapdragon)(screenissues so changed quick). If we play the same game or open the same app. That older "budget" oneplus opens it Faster. So you can say what you want, there is difference. Not much. But there is. And ok, maybe exynos is better after official support to unlock it. Not a selling point for me because i change every 2 to 3 years. If you are happy with exynos, perfect. I am happy with my unit, unhappy with some choices samsung made. Same price, different versions. Look on YouTube for the videos where they compare the 2. You have to admit not really fair"
Your unit seems not to be ok, Exynos 2100 doesn't suffer of overheating.

When the official support ends, the Qualcomm variants can't be unlocked to allow to install a custom recovery, that allows to install a custom ROM of One UI is there are available, the Exynos on the S21 and S22 are better than their Qualcomm counterparts, even the latest Exynos 2200 is able to beat the Qualcomm 8 gen 2 in RTX performance, so they aren't behind Qualcomm, if they couldn't put Exynos chipsets on the S23 was because they decided to renew their process node and make refinements.

Exynos is proven to be the best version, and changing to Qualcomm you couldn't get the latest software updates, and install a custom ROM.

I have nothing on it that slows it down. But the snapdragon is just better in handling everything. Maybe it is heat or i dont now. We just see when we compare the 2, the snapdragon is more responsive, more snappy. Hard to explain. I am still happy with my s21plus but the next one will have a snapdragon.

This March update has really improved the battery life not that it was bad by any means but now it lasts longer than before. This is a very good option if anyone is planning to buy a flagship device as it comes at a very reasonable price.

have to comment on s21plus or fe, it's just unfair that we in europe have the exynos, i have seen the difference in irl bewteen the 2, friend of mine has the snapdragon s21plus that he bought online, what a difference. pictures are better (proccesing), multitasking is quicker, just more responsif in global. so just for that i would be happy with smaller screen/battery if my phone is so responsive. my humble personal opinion

I've the exynos S21+ and haven't faced any battery or overheating issues on my phone, it runs smoothly without any hiccups.
