Less RAM means that Android needs to remove apps from memory more frequently.

Yes, more RAM is considered to be a better option. With more RAM, your phone can access data faster. In addition to this, you can switch between the apps faster that are already running in the background.

Secondly, if you think multi-tasking makes you better than "simpleton" then you are dumb. Perfecting one thing can be better then just doing many. Thirdly, free RAM is a wasted RAM. Why do you need extra 8gb of RAM if it won't be utilized properly? If you do some research ty you'll see, there's not so much difference between 8gb smart phones and those which have more. The difference in performance an be noticeable between 4gb and 8gb, but for now 8gb is more than enough even for 20 apps working at the same time if the phone is well optimized. One can argue that 12 gb is future proof, but mostly phones are not used so long by power hungry users. So, for now 8 gb is a sweet spot.

AnonD-1039478, 24 Apr 2022You do not need 16gb ram in a phone. I have used a Samsung ... moreThe amount of RAM we need is certainly growing. The average smartphone user launches has 110 apps installed and uses 46 different apps in a month, according to App Annie’s analysis of the second quarter of 2020. Digging into the memory tab in the settings of the Samsung Galaxy Note 20, which has 8GB of RAM, reveals 4.7GB of memory being used, with 748MB reserved, and 2.6GB free. That’s a lot being used, just as background use, and clearing background apps only frees up to 3.5GB of space.

AnonD-1039478, 24 Apr 2022You do not need 16gb ram in a phone. I have used a Samsung ... moreIn theory, more RAM means that you can have more processes and therefore more apps running at once.

“There is no right or wrong to how much RAM a smartphone requires, although RAM plays a big part in how fluid and seamless our smartphone experience is,” Kara explains. “Unlike PCs, where a few seconds delay in an app loading is acceptable, we expect apps to load instantly on our smartphones even when we’re on the go.”

RAM also enables processes to run in the background. Some of these background processes, such as your phone checking for email, are really useful. Others, like a piece of carrier bloatware or an app that you never use, are not.

AnonD-1039478, 24 Apr 2022You do not need 16gb ram in a phone. I have used a Samsung ... moreThe benefit of RAM memory is that it allows the interface to operate more efficiently. Say you open the Facebook app. The first time it is launched, it will take a while to start up, as it has to load all the content to show you. You can then leave the app and return to it. Launching will take much less time the second time you access it, as it will grab all the files from the RAM and utilize what is still relevant.

Now, imagine what happens if you get rid of all data stored in the RAM. As expected, when opening any application again, it will make the experience slower than it would if all that information was readily available to the operating system.

AnonD-1039478, 24 Apr 2022You do not need 16gb ram in a phone. I have used a Samsung ... moreThat's like saying people don't or shouldn't drive ferrari lambo and Porsche, lmfao.yea really.

Android is true multitasking Linux. Android it self needs 4gb ram , then every apps you install and run needs 200mb , then chrome having 5 tabs open will eat up 6 or 8gb ram, evertime you open or load pages, it won't stay in cache but it will reload because it needs too close other apps for it too function.

And why you nagging for, is it so heavy you can't carry or so hot or cold it's giving you hard time, that's like saying people don't have reserve money, or less knowledge.

If it has 24gb Ram why and what's bothering you? Are paying petrol money for it too run? Joker, go away...

That is why you don't see the Pocophone F1 or Oneplus One, heck even the Samsung Galaxy S4 all of which have over 1500 fans.

S22Ultra has no 16gb Ram. Epic fail.

Samsung should give options for 1TB 20gb Ram, millions would buy the 20gb Ram vs the useless rubbish 12gb ram.
