Bought S22 Ultra in April 2022, Mumbai, India. On 1st August 2024 couple of hours after a software update a green line appeared then in ten days another green line appeared side of the previous line. Now two more red line have appeared. Samsung says the phone is out of warranty and the display will have to be replaced. INR 17250/- for the display only, without gst, plus will be labor and some other charges. Big failure by Samsung in just two years. I feel I will use it a little longer without repairs till things go extremely bad. A big let down by Samsung.

I'm thinking to upgrade from iPhone 13 pro max to S22 Ultra, this phone has way more features. For me I bought large screen phone to take advantage of the big display but with my 13 pro Max it's just a big phone with big display that can do the nothing more than the standard iPhone 13. With S22 Ultra there is split screen, pop up screen, and stylus, better PPI too. Just more advantages of having a large screen, on my iPhone it's just a large screen.

So you have no choice but to get a second hand or a refurbished one. As for the price maybe wait till the S25 is released, it'll probably take a knock.

Hello everyone. I used galaxy s9+ since 2019 but unfortunately the screen went blackout back in 2023 and it will require 300 USD to buy a new and legitimate screen for the following device. Now in this price segment I don't see any better option than repairing my older phone but I am a big fan of this beast called S22 Ultra. I love this phone since it was launched. But the problem is in the USA market the price is still very high for the legitimate S22 Ultra.
So I want to from you guys whether will it be a wise decision to buy a refurbished/renewed/certified renewed phone from amazon or Samsung or not?

On mine s22ultra, from top to bottom, it looks like 3 white box in display,
is it display problem or software problem?
And I have put tempered glass so is it because of it that ultrasonic touch doesnt always works?

**Some people expect good battery performance from the Galaxy S22 Ultra, but they don’t actually respect the phone. For example:**
If you want to enjoy driving your car, you need to choose the best motor oil, the highest quality fuel, read the manual, and follow traffic laws, etc. The same applies to the phone. Some people are unhappy with the battery performance because they don't use the original Samsung charger, not to mention an old charging cable. They should also tweak some of the phone's settings... as the phone's settings can be customized for watching movies, regular use, browsing, or even gaming.
Once again, I say that this phone is not designed for gaming. If you’re considering buying the 22Ultra, 23Ultra, 24Ultra for gaming, you could instead purchase a mid-range phone along with a PlayStation 4 or Xbox One for the same price!
We need to learn to put everything in its proper place. The "Ultra" series is designed for people who are different from the rest, such as businesspeople or successful individuals who don't spend all day on their phones watching videos and then complain about the battery...
This phone is intended for busy individuals with schedules filled with work, business, and plans, like engineers, programmers, and traders. The reason this phone is tailored for this group is due to the presence of the S Pen.
The S Pen is designed for editing or signing PDF files by hand, pointing out something in a design, marking a location on a map, or jotting down a quick and important note during a meeting or call, with ultra-high-definition cameras for capturing reports and documents related to various establishments or commercial products.

Anonymous, 24 Aug 2024Should i buy 8gb or 12gb ram version Doesn't matter much unless you are a very heavy gamer or you run heavy apps. I have 8GB it is fluid all the time no stutters whatsoever just very fast enough.

I just sold mine and got OnePlus 12. Why? Well, for a 1000$ device there are a lot of problems with it. Terrible battery life, overheating even when sending a simple video through Whatsapp, bad 5G speeds and signal is just too weak. Even UI is a lot smoother on OnePlus. So yeah I had Exynos version, maybe Snapdragon is better I don't know, but it's just unacceptable for a 1000$ device to perform like this if you ask me. I had almost the same problems with Note 20 Ultra and now S22 Ultra. I will probably avoid Samsung until they change something major, I'm not paying that amount of money for a bunch of problems.

At least if there is any. I always buy my phone online, and most of the times from the same online retailer. The phone is always original, unopened and unbranded or whatsoever.

Just ordered one from a reputable reseller up in New Jersey. My brother also bought a new, old stock Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra from the same outfit in May 2024 and paid $37.50 more than I did. My brother is very happy with his S22 Ultra 5G through three months of use. I'm going into this with my eyes open. My S22 Ultra 5G will be my second backup on Google Fi Wireless. I can recommend the practical efficiency of using that network since August 2023. Also, I'm apparently intrigued with buying items that are new, old stock. I appreciate how these things survive, waiting dormant until called into service.
A little over a year ago, I bought two Sanyo SCP-5500 phones, new, old stock. The SCP-5500 (Sprint VM-4500) is my favorite phone over everything that's come down the 'pike thus far. My second favorite is Palm's Treo 650 from late-2004. The early days of phone design and development were very exciting and I remember those days pretty well.
