notafanboy, 07 Feb 2022What high end phones have SD card slot these days?Sir, you are apparently the very set of consumers that tgese companies are really targeting. Take away the sd card slot, and the response is "which high end smartphone offers sd card"..next take away the charger, and the response is "which high end smartphone offers charger"...pretty soon the makers are gonna charge you an annual subscription to be able to use your own phone camera and you will probably respond with and the response is "which high end smartphone allows you to use the camera for free?"..yes, you're their dream consumer and these dwindling features are your primed at your intellectual quotient itself .

      Who does video editing that requires 12GB of Ram ON THERE PHONE AND NOT ON A LAPTOP.? Guess people who don't understand that RAM is not the bottleneck when performing these computations...??! Lol

        Galaxy S22 series will now receive 4 years of Android OS Updates and 5 years of security updates.

        And Xiaomi? None of their devices have received Android 12 globally 😂

          adzak, 06 Feb 2022How does someone use up 16GB RAM in a phone and for how often?Are you really that old? Or maybe u don't do video editing/gaming? 12 gigs ram not enough, soon 16 gigs of ram will be insufficient

            I often use all 12 gigs of my smartphone ram! I'm aged 51, not even near as technologically advanced as some of these college students! We need 24 gig ram smartphones!

              S22 Plus and Ultra are releasing 21st February in UK

                You know, since this phone comes with less ram than the S21 Ultra, they should make it cheaper but knowing Samsung, they'll probably make it even more expensive
                The 128/8 variant will probably cost more than the 512/16 on the S21 Ultra lol

                  Still doubting between the black and green. I am leaning towards green because I am using a black Note8 since 2017 so a change in colour would be rather nice. But then I look at the white version, and that looks pretty nice too with the matte finish and silverish trim. Good to see they went for matte instead of glossy. The Note8 is a fingerprint magnet. Plenty of time to decide and have some hands-on in the retail shops as I plan to upgrade from my Note8 somewhere in May.

                        We are expecting that Samsung will release snapdragon version in the Philippines...if it's still exynos i won't buy such expensive with cheap exynos

                          I'm an avid fan of samsung upgrading from note 10+ ro Note20 ultra 5g to S21 Ultra and I'm excited to have this S22 Ultra but it's back design and camera set up to be honest looks ugly than it's predecessors. I'd prefer the once rumored P shape design.

                                  We get it. It's a high end phone. But expecting from samsung, we should recieve an sd card slot. Unfortunately, it looks like a no. The design looks sick though not gonna lie

                                    By the time you upgrade to reasonable internal storage the S22 Ultra will cost $1,400 - $1,500. It's not worth that much especially when one considers it has very minor upgrades from the S21. S-Pen, who cares? It's not a high demand feature.

                                      That's basically a S21 Ultra with a barely faster charger :/
