make sure to get phone manufactured december 2022 above / last batch, these on theory have better chip since samsung have better yield for 8 gen 1 from 35 to 60% on mid 2022 and the only phone with 8 gen 1 is s22 series since other brands move to 8 gen 1 plus starting mid 2022, these on theory should have a bit better heat control and power but still below 8 gen 1 plus performance. Mine is dec 2022 manufactured, performance is stable and great battery life is good 5-7 hours depending on usage

AnonD-1090716, 10 Jul 2023I know. But tbe S22U Exynos is faster than the S22U QualcommDoes that make any sense? If you are using an S22 Ultra with whatever CPU there is, it won't matter. It's an S22 Ultra and not just some china phones. Besides, I've checked the link you provided below about Snapdragon vs Exynos. Seriously? You are comparing a Redmagic 8 Pro (Snapdragon) to an S22 Ultra (Exynos)? Why don't you compare both S22 Ultra? They make no difference at all. Also, the specs of china phones can be faked using an app installed as system app. Unless you open the phone and check what is installed to it. It's just on paper. Reality is different than just gossip. Don't believe what other sites are saying. Most of them shows FAKE reviews. If you're really that tech guy you will know what I mean.

Does anyone has also problems with battery life on this phone? I have Exynos version, battery health 96 % and I have problems to get through 1 full day on a single charge. I have always on display, 5G, Quad HD, everything turned on, but still. Previously I had S20 FE 5G which has almost the same battery test results here on GSMARENA and I had much better battery life.

if you brought a snapdragon s22 ultra on mfd last batch, congratss. Chance are you get a usefull chip that doesn't overheat and battery hog like first batch. The last batch of 8 gen 1 is used on samsung phones , since other brand move to 8 gen 1 plus, one of key snapdragon 8 gen 1 issue is bad production yield around 35% while samsung does improve around mid may to 65% which is double the production , here you can a good binned chip that can perform a bit below 8 gen 1 plus, this is proved after my research where minority user have s22 phones that doesn't overheat and the battery last long, while majority get a mediocre one.

s22 ultra manufactured around november 2022 above should contain a higher chance of good chip, 2/3 chance as the rate is 65%, so far my s22 ultra is mfd december 2022, i got 6-7 hours of SOT, and playing heavy games it does run warm around 43-46c but still comparable to other 8 gen 1 plus/ 865 phones, the only downside is the phone heating fast around 5-10 minutes mark while my 865 phones start to warm around 15 to 20 minutes mark still, in the end both get hot around 47c max , but the s22 ultra can hold the fps higher and bit stable, although it can stutter when throttling though

SINation , 27 Jun 2023Received today. Yet to find and see the improvement.I haven't since some weeks alr Ady but not much of a difference at least for me. Not that the phone was running badly or anything but it was just some big fixes and up t date security I think. Maybe the next update will have the enhanced camera features that the S23 got.

                                      Totally useless mobile.
I have it for almost 8 months now, it becomes hot while using games and apps. My previous mobile was Huawei mate 20 pro, the best mobile I have ever used.
