The differences are getting less and less.

Anonymous, 13 Dec 2022That's what I am saying. It's not Android vs Appl... moreThis is true. Google won't even let users downgrade the software once Android 13 is installed. All phones have become homogenized like milk. And with iOS17 getting the ability to sideload apps, the need to jailbreak iPhones to make them closer to an unrooted Android is unnecessary. And iPhone 15 will finally get USB-C.

I use both platforms. I still prefer Android for the variety and different form factors. There are times that iOS is still annoying to use. But they're becoming more alike that many users can use either one and won't be missing out if they didn't choose the other one. They're a lot more alike in 2022 than they were in 2012 or 2017.

Can anyone confirm that the SM-S9080 version has 2 physical SIM slots? I'm not bothered about eSIM.

I would like to see S22 Ultra Lite, lesser specs and display but with S-Pen and cheaper. I have Note 10 Lite it's a great fone and it was cheaper than Note 10 and Note 10+.

Got December security update on my S22 Ultra. No huge improvements or new features but phone feels a bit smoother and snappier.

It's not Android vs Apple, at this point it's Android vs iOS. There are little differences you get with phone features anymore, but Android is becoming more and more restrictive like iOS, so there are less reasons to recommend Android to the average user, when they would probably just have less stress with an iPhone.

And all I had to do to set up my S21U was delete some of pre-installed apps I didn't need and set my preferences (wallpaper, ring-tone, notifications etc)... as you would with any new phone. 🤷‍♂️

I have just replaced my S21 5G (Dual Sim + esim) (had failing battery) with a new S22Ultra 5G (Dual Sim), but have now discovered that there is only 1 nano Sim tray + esim now included in Samsung's flagship phone, so not fit for my purpose.
Note that the box shows 2 x IMEI, and some regions DO get a dual sim card tray, but this is not clear from the box or the seller! Beware if this is important.

I like how so many techtubers bash the SE3 for the outdated design but then turn around and praise the latest iPhone when they generally looked the same since the X. This drives the interest and prices of the SEs down. So I buy them dirt cheap while they're in pristine condition and I either use them or trade them in to get $1000 bill credits to use on a Samsung Ultra or foldable.

Enjoy your iPhone, which is practically bloatware-free out of the box with minimal setup except disabling telemetry and stuff. That's it. You don't need to do literally 1000 things on an iPhone that you do with an Android in order to make it usable and not a catalog full of ads and garbage. If I had a choice, I would get an iPhone SE 2022 because it has a proper rectangular, non-curved, notchless screen and a home button.
