Daniel, 02 Aug 2022I am sure this phone is awesome to watch reruns of 1990s TV... moreSamsung should finally release a decent and usable Galaxy Note again (not some gimmick crap), without the damn useless edge display, with an LED notification, with SD card slot, with a minimum 6000mAh battery and 2 days runtime, without the absolutely horrible camera hump, and a case that you can hold decently in your hands without an additional protective cover (now they are like slippery fish) and that doesn't break at a small fall on a carpet.

I am sure this phone is awesome to watch reruns of 1990s TV on Pluto or whatever. Not the reason I bought this phone. Flagship! means
1. If you are using a specific bluetooth device and another device comes into range, you will be hijacked. I hope it wasn't a board meeting, your boss or your girlfriend because it will be awkward and the hijacking will continue until you get away from the offending bluetooth device. One example is in getting in the car with others who should'nt be privy to your conversation. The car bluetooth will make your call public to all who can hear.
2. If you are on speakerphone and bluetooth devices are in range...get ready for them to hijack your speakerphone call.
3. waking it up. That simple button the S7 had which is now absent has been superceded with a tap(s) and swipe(s) of the touchscreen. Not the best but persistence will wake up this phone someday.
4. No LED. $1300 and the best tricolor LED which was perfect for notifications is gone. I had to download a pay-for program along with all of the soul and privacy selling attributes of Android app utilization to put a flashing icon onscreen while the phone is asleep.
Maybe I didn't do enough research but this was supposed to be a tool. Email, text, phone calls, voicemail...you know all that ancient useless stuff people with jobs have to do to make a living are what I need. Those continue to be "improved" (not) with progress. I am convinced though (without actually doing it) that watching TV on this device will create sheer techno-bliss.

For those who are complaining about "not one-handed phone" I highly recommend you to do a little digging towards their "one hand operation " app in Good Lock
I can get 90% of the "not one-handed" tasks done with this thing
Spend some time and play around it, makes the phone suits you ,not you to adjust for the phone
I always show how convenient one hand operation is to my colleagues who are using Iphone, they just can't get over how customizable it could get.
For example,
I can easily open lot of apps without reaching to the top half of the screen
( Wechat in split window mode, whatsapp in split window mode, my company clock in app)
And I can easily bring down notification panel with just swipe and hold down from the edge , so I don't need to reach my finger all the way to the top
The best one is I basically have a small and packed panel(brightness, volume, wifi, ,deta, rotate, silent/vibrate, Bluetooth etc.)
Hate when people didn't even try a single attempt to play around stuff and start complaining

Ok, after practicing some battery saving tips, I now got 8h 9m of SOT on my phone, with normal use. Calling, texting, browsing, camera usage, video watching, updating apps from the Play Store and th use of some other apps. Generally said, with the battery saving tips I can increase the SOT with about 1,5 to 2 hours.

Krul, 23 Jul 2022Thank you for telling it like it is. Sorry about the rant. I just get so tired of all the whining. People looking for perfection in an imperfect world. One thing I forgot to mention, the battery life. The battery on my phone is good for 24 to 48 hours, depending on use. One thing I always do is get rid of all the annoying notifications. I don't need to hear from Google, Youtube, Tiktok, Samsung, Facebook, etc, etc, etc, every minute of every day. I found that when you stop all the BS notifications, the battery lasts a lot longer. If I am actually interested in any of the garbage going on in any of these particular apps, I simply click on the icon. An extra tap, oh my!

working nice so far. charging every other day and using for 2-3 hours per day. could probably go an extra day without charging.
