Edge 50 neo launched in India at 23k ₹ (249€). With 5 years of OS updates, 1.5k res LTPO screen, 3X OIS Telephoto, compact form factor.. really Value for money phone. Except processor everything is fine.

Anonymous, 19 Sep 2024I'm thinking of buying this phone because of the SD8 g... moreYes, the phone does heat up and throttle. Genshin goes from a stable 60fps to a fluctuating 45-55fps after just a few minutes of playing at the highest graphics settings.
But at least the thermals are pretty good, it only gets as hot as 40°C on around the left side of the display. Other phones can get as hot 48°C on similar scenarios.

I'm thinking of buying this phone because of the SD8 gen 2, I want the chip for gaming and in my country the S series except for the S23 always get the Exynos version of the phones. Does this phone heat up significantly in games like Ganshin Impact and as a result the chip throttles?

Anonymous, 16 Sep 2024Can someone share battery life on the latest One UI 6.1.1.?Things lookings smoother and precise, major change i have felt was with battery, standby time when screen is off has been increased somehow, its not draining like before however sot is almost similar. I dont use camera that much so can't comment on it.

Anonymous, 15 Sep 2024"By your logic one need to own everything to understan... moreExynos counterparts factually overheat more, are less energy efficient (less SOT), have worse ISPs (worse photo processing), less performance and are cheaper for samsung to produce YET THEY ARE BEING SOLD FOR THE SAME PRICE AS SD VARIANTS!!! If you get an exynos device it will work no question, no problem if you get something that has no SD variant to begin with but with regards to for example the S23 vs S24 exynos. the S23 is equal or better purely becuase it has a SD SOC.

Bigger copper heat sink which k... moreSamsung phones with TSMC-made Snapdragon processors like the M52 and A73 have been reported to get the green line/white line issue as well. Even the US versions of the S20, Note20 series with TSMC Snapdragon processors aren't safe.

If you check all the m,a and s21,s22 series are getting green line/ white line issues due to overheating Exynos. Even if you check s24 Exynos vs Snapdragon version you will see snapdragon s24 outperforms in battery and camera department. Even s23 has slightly better battery backup than s24 Exynos with bigger battery.
