Hey I bought an SM S911U/DS here in asia brand new. From what researched, U in the model name stands for US-Carrier specific. But when I got the device it was already unlocked and was able to use any sim. I am curious what carrier this is because even now, I have not received the One UI 6 update.

snased, 29 Dec 2023trying to fit every spec in a small frame is very difficult... moreYes I wouldn't ever buy something bigger than s23 now. Got a53, tried a54, way too big and unconfortable. Also back to plastic than glass back and those metal borders ( well maybe they have excuse for antennas with metal borders, but not for glass back. ) , it's good, reliable, lightweight, not fragile, repairable, and glass is not eco friendly at all.

                  S23 is A great phone
Have it for a few months now. Long lasting battery, a full day with hours and hours of web, maps, tweaking around. Relatively lightweight. Runs smoothly m, even Firefox which is not known to be very fast.

Just I worry about glass back, I know it's fragile and circuit board probably glued to it.

Also very disappointing with front end camera, it performs so bad in low light, my a53 and a54 Were lot better. Or I had a faulty one...

I tweaked it, block every annoying update and disable all those tons of sh't I can to the minimum with adb. Lot of hours and mistakes but still worth it.

No Google login also and many Google disabled, still have to keep framework services otherwise some apps buggy or even not working.

A big mistake Samsung want to force euros buying their exoshit. Hopefully no one will put a ton of money into those s24 because it's just a big mistake, there is no excuse they wouldn't know haha.

Azu10157, 27 Dec 2023What's wrong with refurbished? Refurbished means repaired. You don't know the quality of the parts being replaced inside. There are also times when good components are also replaced. So technically, you may end up buying something like a clone.

But that can only happen if they hear from a lot of people, so start calling them.
