Anonymous, 24 Aug 2024That is the general issue with Android. Every manufacturer ... moreWhat you are saying is partially correct and doesn't makes sense in this case. You have written so many random things.
                                  I agree with below things
                                  Yes, iOS is better optimized.
Yes Android one was better alternative for a clean OS experience.

Comming to your random stuff which you posted:

                                  1. Yes one ui has lot of customisation but that doesn't mean that it takes hell lot of space. Even pixel 8 system storage is almost same which is 16 GB. Check https://forums.androidcentral.com/threads/128-gb-pixel-pro-system-files-space.1067172/.
Issue with android is, with time growing other storage issue.
Did you read correctly? It's with android which is common in all the Android device whether it's google samsung or any other OEM. It keeps growing and one should know how to get rid of it and it's not straight forward.

                                  2. Pixel phones with their Tensor SOC fabricated by samsung foundry is not optimized at all. It heats up, it's slow and is no where near to snapdragon, bionic or even flagship Mediatek in raw performance. Yes pixel device boot up time is definitely short which is with Sony devices as well. But that doesn't guarantee overall optimization.

                                  3. Why samsung would create small ultra when they have base models like s23. It's just a naming convention any OEM can use what they like. It's s23 but still uses same, exactly same SOC and memory. Yes the cameras are different but that doesn't effects thermals all the time or is it? Even 5x telephoto is only in pro max in case of apple. I really don't know if performance is impacted by naming convention like ultra 😂

royo1e, 22 Aug 2024Internal storage consumption is very high since out of the ... moreThat is the general issue with Android. Every manufacturer ther than Google will always include customisation from their end be it OS, Apps or services which runs in the background, resulting in unnecessary usage of storage, cpu, memory and some network bandwidth.

In case of Samsung they will bundle a copy of Apps same as that of Google for better or worse. That's why they are never optimised as a pixel phone with same specs.

There was a time when Google tried to remedy this by offering Android One device with clean Android. But unfortunately it was doomed from the start because of manufacturers greed.

This Leaves only Apple and Google phones which are first party devices and they are exceptionally optimised as compared to any other phones. Any other device which compares to them always uses more quantity of resources so that the un-optimized device can compete.

Take samung ultra series for example, I bet they can't make a device in small size like that of iPhone Pro model not pro max. Because then they have to show true optimization and they won't have the advantage of large device which can have more surface area to cool and larger battery etc.
