OneUI 6.1 finally here, 2.8 GB update size

Quick first impression, everything seems to be in order. AI features works, UI improvements (like the new battery settings) are there, I noticed the slightly darker color of the UI, and more.

Samsung did a great job on this.

Navid, 18 Mar 2024I bought this about a month ago. Everything is just fine, b... morePerhaps the phone is still optimizing your usage patterns. Also check on the battery (device care) app, what is using your battery and kill or uninstall those apps.
If that doesn't work, maybe your unit is faulty.

Tip: Turn off wireless and Bluetooth scanning in the background. Look for in the settings. The new phones are designed to have this on, so that as a network they can detect other lost or stolen Samsung phones. It uses alot of battery.

Patrick , 19 Mar 2024Why camera's colors little pale and not vivid compared... moreIt's colour processing style is closer to the S23 and S24 phones.. That is - More realistic and accurate which seems to be the trend. The reds and blues you see in the A series - whilst it may look good on the phone, in real life the objects are not actually that colour.

Nick, 20 Mar 2024when you look at iPhone 15 pro max Battery capacity (Li-Ion... moreYou can't compare a phone of almost 3 times the value to the Fe. In that case you must compare the iPhone to the S23/24 Ultra model.
It comes down to preference of the software user experience. You must choose what you like best and what is most suitable for your needs.

Hi guys. Do the thick bezels bother anyone, or are most of you coming from a lower end (A series etc) phone and you're not too fussy with design and appearance?

If you aren't going to switch phones, I think you could try getting a battery pack with wireless charging. I know it's a pain to always carry something like that around with you, but it is better than a dead phone.

                    Battery is 💩
My SoT is only 6hrs from 85-20%. I didn't play. I barely use it because I have another phone. I haven't used it in 23 hours and lost 17% with most apps in deep sleep. My Samsung A70 had a better SoT. I got at least 16 hours of SoT when it was still new. I wish to downgrade but I'm afraid I'll get a phone with worse battery life lol I should have gone to reddit for real life usage instead of watching tech reviewers on YT. Sure, camera and performance are excellent. But it's nothing if it's always plugged into the socket lol

Worst phone ever, don't ever buy it.
Battery down so quickly and heat a lot after a little bit uses.

                        U. B, 18 Mar 2024I am confused to buy S23 FE or OnePlus 12R in India. Plz s... more12R better because of that SD 8 Gen 2 compared to oven 8 Gen 1; heavy GPU throttle.
12R is also better with an optimized battery and fluid operating system with more features.
12R is even better with more storage options like 16/256, 12/256 and so on.
12R has a better screen and weighs 2 grams less (lol)
                        Faster charging on 12R

But, S23 FE is better in the camera game. It has a telephoto and a better ultrawide.
Main camera is a toss-up, from what I hear.
                        IP68 is on this phone
Longer software support and people argue OneUI is better (depends on opinions than facts)

I'd go with 12R and see how it fares with you.

asking for anyone who has been using this phone for more than 3 months, do you think you can downgrade to lower specs phone if you have to?

i'll give you a situation: you lost your job, had just enough savings to survive and your S23 FE happened to be broken and couldn't get it fixed without having to chunk out large sum of money

Mivek, 14 Mar 2024Hello Everyone, after the latest update what are your likes... moreMy Galaxy S23 FE snapdragon edition is working pretty pretty good these days. I only play Pokémon go and stumble guys and those games run really good on the S23 FE, zero lag or stutter. My battery can last all day with 8 hours of screen on time before needing a charge and that's with YouTube, gaming, texting, calls etc. No overheating issues ever and I'd say my only issue is finding a working apk for gcam, as I don't think they have updated the gcam apk for the S23 FE yet but the stock camera app works just fine. This phone honestly runs great, just as good as the regular S23 even tho the benchmark numbers are lower but you can't even tell, all my friends think I have the regular S23 but I have to keep telling them this is the S23 FE not the regular S23 but they can't even tell the difference performance wise so that's pretty telling for how well this phone runs.

Can't understand the hate on this phone. Got one at very good price, like 350 usd and to be honest I really like. Sure battery is a bit on the downside but it's not that horror. I don't play games so I cannot relate to that. On normal use, even while watching 1080p videos on youtube it didn't get hot, not at all, just slight warm but I felt that on my A52s also. The use is nice and smooth, response is fat, the sound is really good I like it. Exynos...Smexynos...it gets the job done. Nuff said. My A52s was also a good phone but it started to lag and stutter sometimes when unlocking. I like the feel in my hands, it's not that heavy. Anyway to each his own. At a good discounted price it's a nice buy. Get one if you can :)

when you look at iPhone 15 pro max Battery capacity (Li-Ion 4441 mAh) vs S23 FE (Li-Ion 4500 mAh) and check how iPhone with almost the same capacity can last double the time that Samsung can , I am not apple fan boy but Samsung should make something about that (maybe they can introduce light software and user can choose between the original or the light one), cause the battery is garbage

Why camera's colors little pale and not vivid compared to A54 , i know that s23 fe has better camera quality but as i mentioned color profile not warm , does this issue can be solved by upcoming updates ?
