Anonymous, 07 Oct 2023Planning to upgrade my Poco F1. Should I buy Samsung S23 FE... moreDefinitely 13T, Xiaomi have been delivering recently. I feel like the 23 FE is lacking in many areas where the 13T doesn't.

More like A54 5g 2.0…No need to make this phone at all.

AshfaQueAhmed, 07 Oct 2023I don't understand. Clarify please. Exynos is made... moreQualcomm is just designer, their fab can be sometimes from Samsung, or tslc, they even had negociatuons with Intel. 8gen1 where designed by Qualcomm but made by Samsung's fab. Then Qualcomm returned to tslmc's fab for 8gen1+ as Samsung fab was giving poor yeilds and bad performance ( heat, drain power, and throttle despite their theorical performance). Been like that for years and still same with Exynos 2400 and 4lpp+ process 12+ more months behind tsmc. May be better for Samsung when switching next year to 3nm GAA, maybe.

Horrendous S23fe. To me,should have been s21fe with 8gen3. S23fe is wrong all the way up. Better buy an A53 or S23 on sale or simply get another brand.

AshfaQueAhmed, 07 Oct 2023I don't understand. Clarify please. Exynos is made... moreTo put it simply, there are two types of SOC maker, those with foundry and those without foundary (aka Fabless manufacturer, design SOC but let others manufacture for them)

Qualcomm is only a designer while Samsung is a both a Chip Designer and owns a foundry, and made their own chip (Exynos) as well as for other brands, including Qualcomm (888, 8 Gen 1, etc) and Nvidia (RTX3000 line).

But their foundary is now obsolete, resulting in the terrible and inefficient 8 Gen 1, 888, and Exynos 2200; nowadays Qualcomm SOC is made by TSMC and nobody wants their high end SOC made by Samsung anymore.

AshfaQueAhmed, 07 Oct 2023I don't understand. Clarify please. Exynos is made... moreQualcomm doesn't make any chips, they only design them. They send them to other companies for physical manufacturering. They can be manufactured by Samsung or TSMC.

This looks rather a next upcoming A55 than a true S series.

Exynos is made by Samsung. But why you say Snapdragon is made by Samsung? Snapdragon is made by Qualcomm right?

Beware this has a silver ring on the selfie camera, done to make it looks worse than the S23 series.

Worse than S21 FE in so many aspects...
S23 FE has not even a proper proximity sensor, but a virtual proximity sensor, like the cheapest 150 dollars A serie...! Such a shame...
