this phone is horrible.
firstly its the price of an s23 in most places and 23 is better
secondly with the student discount, the s23 plus is cheaper (much better)
any s22 series phone is cheaper and better, even ultra is same price for 256gb
i dont even know why they released this phone, whos buying it, there wasnt even a proper announcement for it
not even ltpo, no 8+gen 1 or 2023 SoC not even 7 gen 2 or dimensity 8000 series SoC. thick bezels, even 300 dollar xiaomi phones have slimmer bezels. 8MP ultrawide on a 'flaghship killer' bro even Xiaomi 13T has better cameras. its just an a74 with FE series branding, thats it

This phone sucks.
Better option the S20 FE 5G if you want the sd slot with an flagship SoC
S21 FE 5G if you want to upgrade a new android version with a more premium design
The S23 if you don't want to lose your money having a much better SoC made by TSMC and having the most premium features of Samsung
And finally, if you don't want to waste your time, see some other brand. There are phones with the 8+ gen 1 with better prices and specs.

I was also going to nitpick about no 4k60, but the specsheet just updated to include 8K so it likely has 4k60 too. I think the specsheet still isn't complete yet so I'll withhold judgements for now.

They decided to downgrade the chipset instead of using the 8 plus variant of it. Why not downgrade even further and use a 7 plus Gen 2 which is even better than this?

Exynos 2200 is made by Samsung.
SD 8 Gen 1 made by Samsung.
Both will have heating issues.
Samsung fabrication is so worse that Qualcomm went for TSMC to make 8+ Gen 1 and 8 Gen 2. Lol.
One should never buy a phone that has processor made by Samsung. Atleast if one would like to use it for 3 to 4 years
