The S23U has slightly better cameras and better battery from what I've read, but everything else is pretty much the same. I have the S22U too and am very happy with it 👍.

It's by far the best phone on the market and the king of 2023 and it doesn't matter if it's barely February as no chinese brand is capable to make something that can even compete with this Samsung.
For this 2023 the other companies will fight for the 2nd and 3rd places as daddy and the king is 1st and unmatchable. Even GSMArena's staff says so, no negative points at all and the best rate they've ever given to any phone!

Just be patient and keep read review and I keep my s21 ultra until next review for fold 5 or s24 Ultra... I'm no in hurry to upgrade. Just be careful with money to pay fir new phone... remember 12 month is pretty fast than we thought

Everything looks perfect, animations and settings are well organised. If you want something fresh from ui go for another phone. And change them from time to time.
Like MKBHD says every year. Samsung makes best big phones and that's became boring. They are the best every year every single time. If it works and that's not broken why they have to change it? Most people crying there about something didn't even hold it this phone in hands. Time to grow up and find something good to do in your life. This phone rocks and it's amazing.

Sansung not gives the preinstall screen protecter with phone and selling on samsung shop. Before charger earphone now even screen guard.

So much advertising! So much advertisements! I used to have Note 20 Ultra with 108mp camera and telling you guys picture quality was so 12mp binning. Now that you have the s23 ultra 200mp with so much flowery advertisements I believe it's the same with the note 20 Ultra believe it or not up to you. Now Im using the fold 4 and what's the difference in the ui 5.0 between note 20 Ultra and s23 ultra and the fold 4? NOTHING! The Samsung UI remains the same BORING!! NOW that have using the galaxy fold 4 and the Infinix Zero Ultra with 200mp camera dude telling you I am contented cause I can put all the launchers that I wanted to my Infinix and the 200mp is real. I don't want that crap s23 ultra, and that's my last word. And who cares, so me too!

And I never buy a phone from previous year. I will skip S23 series and go for S24 serious. Always buy the newest one unless it is trash.

I've been a OnePlus customer since 2019 and finally took the leap to Samsung. I bought this as a choice between the Galaxy S23 Ultra, Vivo X90 Pro+, and the OnePlus 11. And boy am I impressed.
The display is second to none, Samsung truly make the number one panels in the business. Samsung were notorious for having extra crap on their phone and making their One UI slow and stuttery. Thankfully this is now not the case. OneUI 5 and the high end specs of the Ultra make the user experience really good. I have swapped the launcher for Nova and hooray, the Nova launcher 8.0.3 Beta now works with animations and swipe gestures on Android 13. The cameras on this phone have been excellent too so far. The only bug I have come across is there is no NFC symbol on the status bar when activated, that's all.
People who don't own this phone will bash it. That's their choice. As an Ultra 23 owner and someone who has had previous bad experiences with Samsung phones, I can say to go for this phone. Is it an upgrade for S22 Ultra owners? I would say no. But for anyone else, don't even think twice.
This could be the best phone you'll get.
