Both has it's advantages and disadvantages. really boils down on what you prefer. Being an extreme android fanboy is so toxic. people here are looking for genuine feedback to help them make a decision in buying a device, then seeing comments like this is just so mind boggling. why can't you just state the pros and cons between the two devices

For me is S23u a disapoitment for 2 reasons:
1.... Camera, (dont compare nonsense 100x zoom of AI moon everyone show i am sick of) main and ultrawide is far behind other flagships like Vivo, Xiaomi, Oppo... Compare f.e. A54 main with this, you will will be suprised that some nightmode photos here have more details than S23u and i expect much less efford that samsung do for A54 as midrange.
2.... Screen, i am handle with phone like a baby and after few weeks i have few deep scratches. My older phones like xiaomi Minote10 does have few little scratches after 2 years. Even my friend have same problem and was also surprised that also have few deep scrathces. Maybe is more break durable but definitely less scratch resistant, big shame Samsung.
About cameras i knew that are almost the same from years ago, but poor glass quality was surprize.
Not a good way for expensive flagship.

Written before one week new generation S24 launch.
The best smartphone in 2023 before iPhone 15 launch!
You cannot find any disadvantage for it. The 8Gen2 improve the battery life issue for samsung in very long time.
You can find greatest screen, only 10x optical camera,excellent body design in it.
I still cannot find any other replacement for it.Best samsung smartphone ever!
