Sony , 11 Jul 2023For watching movies i use tv. Occasional I watch movies on... moreFor watching movies many of use our Mobile phones. And most of the people know the difference very well, when they set 1440p instead of 720p on their phone and that is exactly why companies like Samsung advertises this hardware feature and costumers are paying a premium amount for that.
The same goes with the lack of 10 bit display. On such a premium device it does matter when it shows dull colours while streaming HDR content on Netflix any other service except YouTube.
Those who are ok with their TVs to watch Netflix/popular streaming services can opt for Tvs.

Sony , 11 Jul 2023For watching movies i use tv. Occasional I watch movies on... moreYou are right.
Even i agree with you.
Below 7 inch screen is fine with 720p.
Above 10 inch 1080p is ok.
Above 20 inch 2K is ok.
Above 40 inch 4K is ok.
Above 80 inch 8K is ok.
Anyone who follow the above words will not pay more on devices they will not use.
How many hours per day anyone watch TV?
For me i get roughly 3 to 4 hour of free time per day from monday to friday.
Saturday and sunday i get more time to watch contents.
I think i get around 40 hour in a week out of 168 hour.

HGL, 10 Jul 202323Ultra is their flagship and it can't properly handle... moreFor watching movies i use tv. Occasional I watch movies on the phone. Even if I set the resolution to 720 p on my S23 Ultra I don't see any difference like almost any other user. The same is 8 bits vs 10. On such a tiny screen it's doesn't matter. And this phone have one of the best screen on the market anyway.

Sony , 09 Jul 2023It's not a major issue. The same thing happens if you... more23Ultra is their flagship and it can't properly handle HDR streaming. I think many customers are unaware of this issue. After buying it I noticed the following.
1. S23 Ultra still uses a 8 bit screen which can't properly handle HDR streaming.
2. It has very low PWM rate which results in eyestrain for some people.
3. The hyped 1750nits is only for 1% of the screen.

aienp, 10 Jul 2023This is a lie: wired earphones always sound better. Even ch... moreIf you say KZ sounds good I feel bad for you. Enjoy that bright and sharp sound if you like it. They put fake drivers sitting and doing nothing. As I said wired can be miles worse than wireless and vise versa. And your mentioned model is in ear monitor not earphone. Any decent wireless earbuds can sound better. But if you are old school and want to stick with wired try some Fiio in ear monitors you will enjoy it. If you have money try serious ones like Oriolus or Campfire Audio. Fun fact is no matter the brand you can remove mmcx or 2 pin cable and make them wireless by connecting an adapter.

Major Issue, 08 Jul 2023HDR streaming will result in Dull/washed out display in Net... moreIt's not a major issue. The same thing happens if you watch HDR on tv. Especially on Samsung tvs. Subtitles are also too bright compare to the rest of the picture. That's why I prefer SDR instead of HDR or Dolby Vision. There is an improvement in shadow detail with punchy peak brightness, but average brightness is lower than SDR movies.

HDR streaming will result in Dull/washed out display in Netflix, Amazon prime etc. If you turn on data saver streaming will be in SD content and it is bright again.
Samsung and fan boys are reluctant to admit this issue. Check yourself on any S23 Ultra with any phone which actually stream HDR.

I got this phone a week ago, and I can honestly say that it's the best phone I've had, by miles. I had a Note 20 before, so cannot compare with previous S-series flagships.
The only negative thing that I can mention, is the strain it puts on my right pinkie, when chatting on messaging apps. I guess that that comes with the territory of handling a beast like this.
Other than that, no complaints.
