just a smile, 19 May 2023Dream on Exynos fanboyKeep dreaming Exynos hater, you're only dreaming Qualcomm wasn't able to beat Exynos in RTX, and you're talking on being the best on the same generation.

Power usage, battery, heat management was a lot better on snapdragon side. All my friends using exynos were complaining about random stutters, battery however on snapdragon side no one said a word. And now when samsung decided to ship all s23 series with snapdragon it become one of the best selling phones in history of samsung. It's not just a random achievement, it's a snapdragon effect. I've used a bunch of exynos devices and last one I was satisfied was s7 and maybe s8+. S20 fe exynos was a nightmare, s21+ was a little better but still it s**ks compared to snapdragon cpu."
S21 Qualcomm was worse and sucked even more from heating and thermal management, the S22 Exynos is better than the Qualcomm 8 gen 1 in efficiency and performance, and I've not complaints with my S20 Ultra Exynos 990 powered
Last year S22 was doing great in selling compared to the S20 and S21 series, even if it have had an Exynos variant, S23 serries is selling seell mostly because of software support, upgrades over the S22 as the battery, more mAh on the base models, plus an upgrade in the Soc, even if the S23 series have had an Exynos variant and showed an upgrade over the s22 line, the S23 will still selling so well.
I've tried an bunch of devices, specially with Exynos and Qualcomm, but as from experience, I see latest Exynos variants better.

However, they tried to solve the ... moreGenerally the best way I've found explaining the purpose of a microSD card is akin to an SSD and HDD in a PC, in that your main flash storage (UFS, NVMe in iPhones etc) is like an SSD and you just dump your main files on your HDD bc the HDD is slower but has more capacity - I do appreciate that card variance has led to a wild west of "which brands are reputable and which aren't" though in my experience, Samsung and Sandisk have been absolutely fine for my use purpose

S... moreHave you read the last paragraphs of his comment?, He uses a note 9 as well, and he might switching to a new device from Samsung, he could use his old S6 edge as a secondary device without any problem.
The S6 edge still has better build quality and performance than newer low-end phones such as the Galaxy A03s/A12/A21s,A22, even if the battery is worse.

It's on Android 7.0 (Nougat), I did get what was probably a critical security patch G920FXXU6ERF6 @ 21.79 MB on Feb '23 (although patch level shows June '18 with Kernal July '22).
I've just optimized it in 'Device Maintenance' deleting cached data & it's much better, I might get a new battery or just trade it in, it was a back up for my Note9 with 512GB| 8GB (+512GB microSD card) which is now a back up for my 512GB| 12GB S23 Ultra.
Noice, try to change the battery and give niew life to your S6 edge, you can use it as a second-hand device as well.

Better efficiency, better battery, better heat management. Maybe samsung will make a comeback with s24 series but I doubt. If you are using your phone for only social media and casually browsing the net then maybe you wouldn't notice a thing but then it comes to heavy use snapdragon is far superior nowadays."
Now Exynos was better again on the S21 and S22 series, Exynos was and is way better again and takes the lead, better sustained performance, better CPU/GPU desing, better ISP and HDR in photos, and better custom ROM support, and I said that having tried Qualcomm and Exynos chipsets for demanding use.
You forgot that heat management was worse on the latest Qualcomm chipsets before the 8 gen 2 arrived.

The overall camera system is versatile, but quite bad quality. Short backstory, I got the Xiaomi 13 Pro on preorder, was a bit unhappy with the Ultrawide, the telephoto oversaturated the photos quite a bit and the HDR was activating only when it wanted to. I returned it, and got a Samsung S23 Ultra. Taking similar photos with the S23U as I did with the P13 Pro delivers vastly worse results, no matter what mode I try, 12 MP, 50 MP, with or without HDR, with or without Scene Optimizer. I am genuinely shocked by the amount of noise, artefacting and color aberrations in the S23U photos. I am so sad I returned the Xiaomi... The only better camera on the S23U is the selfie, and the fact that it can zoom 10x, which is useful only in good light.
