And by the way, even from a financial perspective it doesn't make sense for Samsung not to make a compact budget phone. Just as the small S24/S23... sells so well among rich customers that want a compact phone, a budget phone with the same size would similarly sell well among those who want smaller phones but can't afford the outrageous S phone price.

You don't need a otg cable anymore. I use Samsung flash drive 256GB blue color. No any micro sd needed. By the way it is very cheap. You can find it in Amazon.

If your phone heats up when outside and your battery life suffers just remove your thick and rugged case and install a thin one. Improved my s24+ a lot. Unless you drop your phone a lot try this yourself and enjoy. Can list my case collection if you ask. Good luck.

It's nice and all, but when you're paying that much and the camera is... OK... well, you know the rest. Wouldn't mind paying 500 $ for a S24, even with Exynos 1480 inside. Yup, wouldn't mind at all.

Everyone else a... moreIt's not like other competitors have compact low-end/mid-range phones either besides maybe Google with the Pixel 8a for $450. Samsung won't bother making one, and neither do Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, Motorola, OnePlus, Nothing, and pretty much every other brand you can think of.
There will need to be at least one or two compact mid-range phones from one company to sell like hotcakes, so other companies will join in and make their own to compete with.
