Ok here we go again, exynos, If they made these exynos chips from pure gold and give away diamonds with them I wouldn't still buy them. I mean if it is good why don't they use it in the ultra model? Did you see that gpu benchmarks?. AI technology? really?! now who sacrifices hardware quality for some sort of software that you can find anywhere on internet which you don't even need. This Samsung is turning into a joke. I have 23 ultra, but you know what I actually want - one inch sensor- and s23 ultra got the best zoom which that's why I bought it but with that 5x telephoto on 24u I think I'm done with Samsung because software can never replace hardware. That's what I learned. Samsung is just good enough at everything but best not best at anything.

Now is the time to buy the S23 in UK instead of S24 coming out shortly. You get snapdragon chipset in S23 and very efficient battery life.I have just bought a brand new S23 direct and after using multiple codes, £100 cashback and selling the buds i will be paying less than £290 ! Excellent. Great way for Samsung to clear stock too.Win-Win.

        Let me guess, S23 $700 USD 128GB, so S24 will be $749 USD 128GB.
Wake me up when it is launched.

I have 128gb on my S20 5g with 12gb ram and i never delete nothing and i didn t use not even half of the space , is more than i would ever need , but i know people who is not enough 128gb.
But on another hand when you buy buy a phone on that budget you want to use it for more years. And every time update come us the devices it slower , not with much but it is. With time would be slower.
8gb ram this days are for mid range smarthphones.

UFS 3.1 for the 128Gb. Is it so expensive to use the 4.0 in all variant?

I agree on ROM, should start with 256 for base model.

Still no 12GB Ram? Bringing back exynos? Seriously, Sammy can do better. They're being stingy. What stops Samsung from offering the option of getting 12GB/512GB? I know someone will say there's an ultra but not everyone loved the ultra, I prefer compact phones. Seriously, can't they just make a compact phone that's make you feel like you're losing out? Xiaomi stepped up with the specs of the 14 which is good and you wouldn't feel like you're being compelled to get the pro. This company needs a change in strategy.

Smokey Bear, 12 Jan 2024If you can honestly see the difference, enjoy it while you ... moreFirst of some of us hate gigantic phones , some of us prefer compact phone , i would take a 5 inch phone even a 4 inch better than 6. But i know it is not posible , So S normal series had good dimensions for this years. The problem is the specs. To pay that money for a FHD and 8gb ram is stupid. It is not OK to downgrade important specs that cost less and make the new suposed update weaker than previous.
Second you don t buy S-series for good battery. If you need to last longer you can lower your resolution and hz in settings if you see that it is not ok but at least you can go full power when you can. But at least give us the option to choose quality mode ( QHD ) or econimic Mode (FHD). I can easy do it in my S20 5G ( from 2020 with qhd screen and 12gb ram).

Anonymous, 12 Jan 2024Because of money. Exynos is cheap to make, shitty processor.Let's hope that it's going to be good, Samsung is very optimistic about the Exynos this time and the Geekbench results so far are so good the (s24 nearly hit the 7000 on multi-core in the last test)

It won't last long as your eyesight fades with age. For most it's a waste of battery and processing power on a screen that size. Buy the s24+ or Ultra or something else altogether if if that is important to you? I'd much prefer money spent on better camera technology for my phone than said phones display ppi. The display will be more than competitive

So, they have reduced the pixel density on this phone, in s23 it was 425 ppi ans in s24 its 416 ppi.... also in the past s9+ and s9 used to get 565 ppi which was crisper display, i have used both s23, s23 ultra, they need to increase pwm of the phone to reduce flickering.

the display is just like a normal chinese phone although its victus2, would not recommend this phone.... and not sure why is samsung degrading its screen quality and in the name of display they are showing the firmness of the screen rather than the quality and crispness of the screen... you will never get that flagship experience after spending $900,

to counter my opinion, many people will say that a human eye cannot see above 390 ppi but mate you should look on the display with above 500 ppi and then compare rather talking in air.... samsung is degrading itself... not a worth of this much money where one plus is giving 2k display in less than this

The normal version is for someone who want compact phone. I had S22 and S23 in my hands i love the design because it feel more compact that my S20 5G ( 6.2 inch). But the screen quality is not same , QHD is QHD. Even on 5 inch i can see the difference because when you watch a video or play a game on your phone you stand very close to it. If you buy a phone on that budget and you use it for social media i understand that you can t see the difference.

It's only when the screen's at least 6.5" would people complain. Plus, since the battery here is small, FHD+ would've saved a lot more battery than QHD+. That's one part Samsung cut costs at to reduce the price of S21 from S20.

(bonus info) Plus, S24+ is getting a QHD+ screen with 256gb base at the same price, isn't it great?
