These specs is a let down yet again for a premium phone, no expandable storage (no microsd), no wired headphone (only battery-draining bluetooth), no radio (just the data-draining streaming), no infrared. Looking same every year s20,...,s24. S10+ from 2019 had 12GB RAM, 1TB, microSD, wired headphones, radio, all the useful/practical features. S24 does not even compare with 2019 phone in the features offered.

The Axon 40 Ultra would be the best example of what I mean.

          Honestly if they just could slim down the bezels by 0.1mm it would look a lot better. It's also the fact that the metal chassis wraps around the screen making the sides appear thicker.

          Overall I'm not hating on the design, but I feel the bezels need to be thinner for a €1,450 device.

I check in every 2 years to see if they got their act together but so far no dice. I don't care about the 1% improvement in hardware Samsung makes when the missing features are many times more important. Samsung is now merely an Apply copy with Android OS. If I could do away with all the features Samsung dropped over the years then I would just go Apple. Might as well get the one everyone copies. Luckily there are other Android makers that understand SD and 3.5 jack are needed to get market share. Samsung just dropped behind Apple in market share, first time in 15 years, wonder why.

                  The only changes of s24 ultra is titanium frame, 50mp telephoto camera, Chipset, and display.

                              I am looking for a 2nd phone. (primary phone is Iphone 12 pro max) I don't wish for it to be expensive. I saw the Samsung S24 Ultra. Would paying more $$$ for S24 Ultra be worth it or would the S20 Ultra work just fine?

                                Now I'm at a stage of over-saturation on the S24 series.

                                The biggest thing I have taken from all these videos and presentations is that, this is a handset which utiilise AI to wield convenience and functionality over standard methods of mobile usage.

                                The camera setup is nothing unique however it is giving the average person the ability to take great photographs. I still feel anything beyond fixed zooms are gimmicky. No AI can replace a true optical lens especicially at the sizes used and accompanying sensor technology.

                                On a side note, if Samsung ever improve their setup in the camera area I would do a couple of things. Remove the two separate zoom lenses and have one variozoom periscope lens which ranges from x2 to x5 with a larger sensor if possible. Also the main sensor could be a bit bigger and make it 50 MP Quad Bayer as everybody knows 200 Mega pixel is a gimmick. You can only effectively use this resolution on Large Format sensors from the likes of Phase One who currently only sell up to 150MP cameras.

                                What I do like about the refresh is, it seems like the Samsung development team are trying to break new boundaries by giving users the ability without compromising your bank account.

                                I've read some the comments about the design and aesthetics and it's like arguing about the colour of farts in the dark if you ask me. The screen viewable is measured from corner to corner. Or indeed a square root of the area between the bezels and the stats provided for marketing are more likely to be rounded for easy display of information more than anything.

                                I would love Samsung or any third party to create a photo case for this where you can attach photo filters for different effects not directly acheivable by software alone.

                                Also at some stage it would be great if they allowed for the playing of higher quality audio files in the future such as MQA, DSD, DSF. This may require more hardware support from Qualcomm and Samsung themselves. FiiO Digital Audio Players and Sony NW players run on Android so it can be done.

                                At this stage in my life I don't care much about the colour or how clashes with my clothes. Although in retrospect, maybe the DAP players should just do what they do best whilist mobile phones do what they do.

                                Any opinions?

                                    Real life: S24 Ultra 1TB is out of stock in 6 out of 7 colors in most major European countries. I have tried to buy a S24 Ultra 1TB Blue since 9 AM and it's 9 PM (Spain) and no restock. Very few people were lucky to reach the few restocks.

                                    This reminds me of the PS5 launch, but in a delusional hat3r world no one wants S24 Ultra despite its being out of stock and each time they put new stock it lasts few minutes and I'm talking about 1TB which is the most expensive one LOL!!!

                                      Non-curved display and 13:6 (19.5:9) aspect ratio (not that irregular 193:90). Even though it's big because it's also an handheld electronic canvas.

More recently i am facing wifi connection failed issue in offline mode on s23 ultra. I am waiting for ui 6.1, hope it will fix. If not, will shift to apple.
