vjx012, 28 Apr 2024Okay good point. Now I'm interested.
Make Battery P... moreOkay, think I got it.
Search routines app, go to routines tab, then plus, then trigger, then time period, then this routine will do, then protect battery.
Second similar, trigger below 31%, another condition, when charging status not charging, then routine will do, then battery saver.
Certainly useful. Didn't know this was there.
However, it cannot turn on FTP server of MiXplorer when connected to SSID which is not in range, and turn it off when disconnected, and cannot find option for widget or activity. THAT, is what Tasker can do.
Please share if you can find a way to use a widget or activity to toggle app services with routines.

Anonymous, 28 Apr 2024Why go through such a hassle when you can use Bixby Routine... moreOkay good point. Now I'm interested.
Make Battery Protect turn on between two times you set using Bixby Routines, active at that time, then it turns off when that time passes, and share the instructions.
Or Battery Saver when battery between 0 and 30%, and only when not charging.

vjx012, 27 Apr 2024Hmmm, so I got tired of waiting for One UI 6.1 on my S21 Ul... moreWhy go through such a hassle when you can use Bixby Routines, which comes pre installed, to do the same. Most of the users still has no idea how usefull Routines can be.

I have the phone for some time now and I am a long term Samsung phones user, but I can't recommend it.
The phone throttles the screen down to 50% brightness when used in bright sun, the camera performance si very bad, inconsistent, and the frame is scratching very easily. I already have scratches on it, even used only in protective case.
The battery performance is just ok, and generally it has the potential to be a good phone, but no. At least not yet.

The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra should be the best phone of the year because it is good at everything a flagship phone should be good at, from the cameras to the performance, battery life and UI, perfect 👌

Anonymous, 27 Apr 2024Amazing phone. I have used it for the past 2 months and it ... moreFor me, it's almost perfect... the only thing I'd change or add is to make the selfie camera invisible/under the display - or put the hole-punch in the left corner (that way, when you're watching 2.35:1 movies, it wouldn't be noticeable).
I wouldn't mind an XL model either (eg. 7.2") - I know lots of people (with small hands 😉) find it too big as it is though, lol.

Hmmm, so I got tired of waiting for One UI 6.1 on my S21 Ultra for Adaptive battery charging, so I used Tasker to enable Protect battery from 19:00 to 6:25, so it's full at 6:50.
This may work on S24 Ultra too. The advantage of this method is, first, you set your custom time without it automatically analyzing, so you get 100% exactly when you need it, and start it whenever you want, and second, it doesn't activate Basic, meaning it won't drop to 95% but rather stay at 100%.
Tasker may need root for this though.
To do so, install Tasker.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.dinglisch.android.taskerm
Give it everything it asks for. When done, it will ask simple or full experience. Choose full.
Create a new profile by pressing plus, then select "CREATE", then "Time". Select start and end time when Battery protect will be on, then press the back arrow.
Tap "New task" - you'll need two tasks total, so name it something like Enable Battery Protect. Press plus icon. In filter type in custom, then select Custom Setting. For name paste:
protect_battery
and for value type in 1.
Press the back arrow two times until you're back to profiles.
You'll see the green arrow and the name of your task you've created - this is your enter task, that gets executed when conditions are met.
Now you need an exit task that gets executed when the time you've set passes. Long tap the start task, and tap Add Exit Task, and name it something like Disable Battery Protect. Repeat the process for the enter task, except for value type in 0. This task disables Battery protect when time you've set passes.
Return back to profiles. Find the checkmark in the top bar and tap it.
That's it. Add a status bar Protect battery option to quickly see it in action and if it works.
If it doesn't work properly, or activates wrong option on S24 Ultra, play with value option.
Tested on S21 Ultra, and works no problem.

Amazing phone. I have used it for the past 2 months and it works fire. The performance is outstanding and i am seeing no issues with the camera. I feel it is a lot better than the Galaxy S23 Ultra (I have used both). It has got better 200MP shots, more appealing. The borders were very irritating and so was the curved display is S23 Ultra, This solves both the issues. Game performance is obviously outstanding, 10/10. No lag whatsoever. I even played Minecraft Java Edition on 24 Ultra and it performed at around 63 FPS constantly. That is better than a lot of potato PCs'. Even after dropping it in my basin (While the tap was on), It worked in perfect condition. S24 Ultra also seems faster than S23 Ultra wehn doing normal day to day things like transferring files and opening 200MP shots in Gallery. The S-Pen is as good as it was better but has faster processing speed with the SD Gen 3 (It feels Faster). All in all, a 100/10 rating, worth it for its price and a must buy, even If you are an iPhone user :)
