Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge camera specs surface, to be slimmer than anticipated

A renowned Samsung tipster, Ice Universe, shared new specs for the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge and confirmed some previously known ones with his latest Weibo post. It looks like the phone's camera hardware won't be particularly impressive, but it will be thinner than initially thought.

According to the new info, the phone will feature a 200MP ISOCELL HP2 sensor, just like the Galaxy S25 Ultra, and it will be paired with a 12MP ultrawide shooter, likely the same one used in the vanilla and plus Galaxy S25 models. This, in turn, means zoom capabilities will rely on the main unit, which is rather underwhelming.

The tipster also confirms the 3,900 mAh battery, which is another potential disappointment, but at least dimensions will be smaller than expected. Ice Universe claims 158.2 x 75.5 x 5.84 mm - much slimmer than the first rumor suggesting a 6.4 mm thickness. At least, this explains the small battery cell.

Perhaps including a proper telephoto unit would have ruined the phone's compact design, creating a huge camera bump on an extremely thin profile.

6000mAh should give you 11-12h SoT like midranges with 5000mAh ( those moto G).

“and it will be paired with a 12MP ultrawide shooter, likely the same one used in the vanilla and plus Galaxy S25 models” Wow, Samsung can’t even put an autofocusing ultrawide in a $1,100 phone.

you're right. immagine if they'd implemented a Si/C Li-Ion battery, would have been a 4500.
