Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim not releasing until May
Samsung scheduled an Unpacked event on January 22, where we expect to see the Galaxy S25 series. The poster showcased four devices (or at least their corners), and we assumed we would see four new phones – Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, Galaxy S25 Ultra, and a brand-new Galaxy S25 Slim.
According to a rumor from China, the latter will be delayed for May.
The new phone is expected to be just 6.5 mm thin but will be a big device, sitting somewhere between the Plus and the Ultra in terms of footprint. It will have a 6.6” AMOLED panel with over 1080p resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate.
The phone being slim means it is likely coming with a new silicon-carbon battery, which is lighter but has a fairly large capacity – probably around 5,000 mAh.
This isn't the first time we hear about Samsung delaying the Slim, and we are still unsure whether the cryptic message is about China; it might not be true at all. We have to wait until next Wednesday when we'll learn more at the event.

You can't solve it because Samsung won't release your favorite phone. You should pick a phone from available options.

That's not how it works. You can turn down the resolution but it will still draw basically the same amount of power. As long as it isn't the giant screen of their ultra series 1440p is overkill

You can try and spin it whatever way you want but the fact remains 5.5mm is not 'significantly' thinner than 6.5mm. I'm right and you are wrong.
