I think Samsung phones have got a lot better over the years . S20 was one of the worst phones I ever used. S24 is a whole different story. Xiaomi have some cheaper phones or maybe nothing phones. try one of those maybe?

i feel bad for buying the s20 ultra, four years ago—i should have known this is where they would go when they stripped out the headphone jack. i should have stopped buying when they took out removable batteries, after proving they could still make them waterproof with the S5. i feel bad for knowing people who buy samsung electronics—like i have friends who voluntarily fund badly-behaved companies.
when samsung and every other big name once again tacitly colludes to take away/paywall features that you find are important to a greater vision for what smartphones could be, maybe you'll finally understand—or, maybe you're like some of these other posters, and you'll find excitement over being asked to spend even more money to get less functionality than ever. there is, of course, no better use of extravagant wealth than proving to all that you're rich—and the current year's ultrabrick sure is extravagant.
