Seriously why are Samsung STILL using 8-bit displays? The competition have been using 10-bit and even 12-bit displays for a while now and it's about time Samsung do too. They provide the technology so they might as well use it. Otherwise personally the S25 Ultra would have been the perfect device for me to upgrade to from my S23 Ultra. So frustrating.

    😂😂😂 What is this? What a joke. Samsung and Apple release the same old rubbish each year. Samsung tries to innovate when Huawei became number 1 in 2020, now nothing.

                It's time for Samsung to realize that there are users who wish there would be two versions of these ULTRAs like they do on the IP Pro and Pro Max because some of us don't like phones with very large shapes!!

                        The super-slow charging is indeed a thundering disgrace. However there's another thundering disgrace that is just as bad: The S25 Ultra will have a PRIMITIVE 8 bit color depth screen (only 68 million colors). By comparison, the Xiaomi 13 series has 10 bit color depth (1 billion colors) and the Xiaomi 14 and upcoming 15 series have 12 bit color depth (68 billion colors) The iPhone 15 Pro Max has a 10 bit screen, A SCREEN MADE BY SAMSUNG. Contemporary flagships have 12 bit cameras. 12 bit content viewed on an 8 bit screen gives horrible banding. No Dolby Vision certification possible. Samsung fakes HDR-10 (the clue is in the name, 10 bit) using an ALGORITHM. "Must do better". Not good enough. Withhold your money from Samsung until they give us proper fast charge and a proper 10 bit/12 bit screen...

                          If that really the Snapdragon 8Gen 4 chip and the corner of the phone are like the S24 i definitely will purchase this phone

                              Looks pretty disappointing so far. Barely any change from S24 Ultra. I sold on the S24 Ultra I bought after finding the screen to be worse than my S22 Ultra, it had the graininess issue and colours were nowhere near as vivid.

                              Samsung weren't much help at all. Booked it in for repair then sent it back saying it was all within spec, no problems they could identify. But compared side-by-side to a shop display model, the screen on mine was definitely poorer quality. S22 Ultra still looked better than both though, and after experiencing the flat screen of the S24U I realise I much prefer the curved screen of S22U so I'm keeping that for now. I was hoping S25U may look more promising but no such luck. Looks like I won't be 'upgrading' for a long time with Samsung.

                              On the other hand, Apple's new camera button is a great idea. I've been wondering when other brands would do something along the lines of the touch buttons on the Asus ROG phone, or Sony's dedicated shutter button. Surprising that Apple is the next company to do this but good for them. Samsung have actually got worse with this feature as they used to have the 'Bixby' button you could remap as a one-press camera launcher.

                              Not sure if S25U will have the new Qi magnetic mounting & charging built in or not? Yet another thing that is disappointing not to have in Samsung...then you are limited to a small number of cases if you want MagSafe features.

                                I hear from several sites, the display will be 6.9, not 6.8 like the 24.

                                  Didn't they say that there will be a new main Isocel sensor, and I wonder if they will again limit the processor to 50% power. Then I don't see the point of putting gen 4, when they also kept gen 3 at 50-60% power..

But i feelt that battery optimistation is also extremely important. Not everyone has the luxury to find a place to charge their devices. Having a battery that lasts 9hrs+ is important, and samsung has nailed that, better than some of the chinese brands with bigger battery capacities I might argue.
