Finally got the 5.0 Lollipop update through OTA 2 days ago. My phone is originally from UAE but I am using it in Europe. Great improvement, much better management of dual-SIM function and also quicker response overall.

Hi All,
Updated to 5.0 just 2 days ago. UI and other OS improvements are great. But the below listed things made me to revert to 4.4 without any hesitations :-)
1) Too much battery drain.
2) And takes more internal storage after the update. Feels 5 gig left after the full update.
Not at all worthy update.

Now you want to go back to Kitkat?
Let us exchange our units cause mine is still in Kitkat and I cannot wait any longer to have Lollipop update in it!

Hi. I wrote earlier about my experience in the latest Android 5.0 update to S5 Duos here in the Philippines. I can say that the issues i experienced is somehow tolerable. I dont mind lagging for a split second in the screen. But what bothers me now is the battery which drains faster than before (Kitkat). Anyone can help me and give your opinion regarding this? Or can anyone help me to downgrade instead from Lollipop to Kitkat. Thanks

If it is, then S5 Duos will support it!

Hi im Jeff from the Philippines. I have a Samsung S5 Duos and i already updated it to Android 5.0. As far as the UI is concerned it looks really amazing. Big change in colors and effects. However, i am experiencing some bugs like if I searched for a particular contact, then go to message, the text box and keyboard does not appear. And yes sometimes my unit is getting hot that i need to turn off and remove the battery to cool down. Anyone experiencing like this? Can you help me how to resolve especislly about the text messaging concern? Thanks.

Lollipop update for UAE galaxy s5 duos available from today via OTA UPDATE. I install it and is really an improvement.
