There is a virus called stagefright and many android phones are vulnerable...
It is about hackers... They want to hack android via mms massage, video, photo, etc,etc...

thetechietech, 21 Jan 2016Hey guys. One question, one answer. Galaxy S6 or iPhone 6?This post was meant for 'thetechietech': (Inadvertently replied to the wrong thread/post).
If brand recognition, social image and other people's remarks about your phone of choice affects you deeply or can hurt your self-esteem, go for an iphone, preferably the gold one. If you don't care what other people say about your phone of choice, go for whatever suits your needs best.

I don't know about you, but this A9 page certainly does not say it's a 'RUMOR'
or more so, a 'HALLUCINATION'. If someone's 'hallucinating', its definitely not me. :)

The Galaxy A9 is designed to MATCH or even OUTPERFORM every single unique selling point that has made the Mate 7 popular: monster battery, SD card options, dual SIM options and accurate/fast fingerprint sensor at a much lower price than flagships.

I've had my S6 for about a week now, and so far I'm happy enough, but I have no idea where the gushing praise of the device is coming from. The hardware does feel premium, but so did my M8, so does the iPhone 6, so do a dozen other devices. Putting it against the iPhone 6 specifically, I personally like the much more rounded feel of that device than the sharper feeling edges of the S6. That's very likely better for grip in the end, but it loses a lot of its "wow factor" for me based on that alone.

The camera is very much praise worthy, however. I've been blown away by it's performance so far and can finally stop being an apologist in regards to virtually every other Android OEMs complacency here. We've been begging for a high quality camera for years and Samsung finally gave in and knocked it out of the park. Is it better than the iPhone 6 camera? Hard to say, but that's a good thing. How each camera deals with different things has become more a matter of personal preference than something obvious.

Does it look like an iPhone? Yes and no. Looking at it from an angle at a slight distance and you may end up taking a second look just to confirm which it is. Head on, the oblong home button and shiny "Samsung" logo shouldn't confuse anyone. I think any similarities are more reflective the general homology across all devices. We've sort of converged on a general device style that unfortunately leaves little room for real innovation. Sure, there are some basic aesthetic tweaks that can be applied and evolved, but we're far away from anything truly revolutionary.

TouchWiz is interesting, but it's still just TouchWiz. It's the same ugly notification shade, it's the same collection of apps that for the most part don't really improve on it's stock AOSP or Play Store counterparts, and it's the same attempt at software differentiation as a brand strategy that I just can't imagine is working. I mean, I don't think people are buying Samsung phones for TouchWiz, but what do I know? That said, I don't exactly feel compelled to flash anything just yet (even if there were roms around). The device finally doesn't feel like its working against itself with regards to performance. Apps open when I want them to, the camera really does launch in under a second, and the stuttering that does happen feels more like it's a problem with the app than the phone.

The battery life is still up in the air for me.

                      Got mine yesterday.

It was between the S6 and the Nexux 5X(same price). Having got the 5X a few weeks ago i sent it back because the screen looked awful and the speaker/headphone volumes were pretty bad.

The screen on the S6 is amazing. Coming from the OP1 which was pretty good itself, this is another level. Speaker is good. Headphone volume good. It is a bit laggy here and there but once i decide if I'm definitely keeping it I'll stick on a bloatfree rom.

I prefer stock Android on the 5X and i like the placement and speed of the 5X fingerprint sensor better. I'd say i have an 80% first time success rate with the S6 sensor.

Only major issue is i have the Isocell camera sensor. But I'll only be taking photos for Facebook so it probably won't make a difference for me. If there was a huge drop off in quality between the 2 sensors more would have been made of it.

So at the moment I'm on the side of keeping it at least until the next round of Nexus phones.

A phone (Galaxy A9) with an Antutu of benchmark of 73,592 will struggle... but an S6 with an Antutu benchmark of 67,520 will not... :) Don't worry, the benchmark scores are all wrong and mixed up, you will say and that using a custom ROM will improve the S6's performance somehow... if only the typical owner of the S6 knows his way around rooting and custom ROM's (99.999% of S6 owners perhaps?)... No need to explain further. I already know your answer.
