I'm going to be getting a Samsung Galaxy S6 in a week and I'm very excited, its going to be my first Galaxy Smartphone, and looking forward to enjoying it.

Released april this year and price already dropped with 120$ . Before i could never go with samsung because they made plastic phones and ugly. But they catched up now and started to make good looking phones in non-plastic. This one look nice but now im not sure ..i wait for the nexus 6p or go with this one. Samsung only have 32gb but nexus i want have 64gb.

recent s6 batches suffer from sudden death.be wary.its happening since last month s6 phones to my friends and samsung service says-mishandling.

Kudos to the tip about deleting the Facebook app and using the browser instead. I always recommend that to my customers. A next downfall with the Facebook app is that it's too big and much bigger with each upgrade. It's a memory hog. It's also a battery hog (which you stated indirectly).

This phone is superb. Extremely fast, multi-tasking goes smoothly, WONDERFUL pictures in low light and outdoor. Compared it with the iPhone 6 which I sold the day after I bought the Samsung, and the camera is soooo much better on the S6 especially indoor with medium to low light. I don't know what's everyone crying over the battery life, but I am getting 5.5 hours of screen on time almost every time. I use it intensive for browing, YouTube, whatsapp, a little gaming, TuneIn, Spotify, maybe 20 pictures per day and still 5.5 hours! With this wonderful display and super duper fast processor that is a battery life to be satisfied with. You just have to know how to use an Android device, putting off Location and Google Now, Sync always swittched off, manual refesh mail not push mail, Wifi off when you go outside, otherwise your phone will keep searching for wifi everywhere you go and that drains battery too. When you're at home or somewhere where there is wifi, switch off mobile data so the 4G LTE signal will not be sent to your phone, waiting for you to use it :) Also never use Auto brightness. Switch off apps or even delete pre-loaded apps you don't use. Don't download battery saving apps cause the app itself is eating from your battery. Don't use much apps which run in the background. Facebook delete it and use the browser page of Facebook. I knew about the RAM and battery issues before I bought this phone, but like I said I know how to use my phone so here I am enjoying it and being happy with the battery life. Adios.

Battery life life of S6 is bad as compared to resolution of phone, how can samsung engineers cans give small batttery life with bigger display, it is not justified , waiting for SAMSUNG GALAXY S7, ONLY SIX MONTHS LEFT FOR GALAXY S7 TO ARRIVE

scorpio, 08 Oct 2015Ok you have now told us everything about your new phone exc... morethat's because my s6 just died of its own and samsung technicians told me that i mushandled the phone.so i got a z5 and i have every right to tell everyone how much sony is better than samsung in longevity and features..you may ask why i bought z5-thats because my friends Xperia zultra is still running without any problems.and i was a fool to buy a swlf destructive s6.thanx.and i paid for a useless samsung phone that died.that died and my money wasted.i am not a millionare that i will buy a phone each day.

My friends S6 had a problem of switching off on its own. When he went to SAMSUNG service center they said it was dropped and its internal system got damaged. I thing even SAMSUNG should also know and agree is that whenever a SAMSUNG is dropped that badly that the phone's internal system got damaged, the display screen should have shattered or at least cracked badly. But the phone was new without a scratch. How can SAMSUNG say that it was dropped and internal system got damaged and charge INR6,000($92) for repairing it. But this is not the worst thing they did. They took that phone for repairing it and kept it with them for 3-weeks. Because of this long time my friend had to buy a new phone worth nearly INR10,000($153). This means due to buying SAMSUNG S6 he had to spend INR16,000($245) extra for getting it work properly again.

Always been a loyal Samsung user but with this S6 i was so disappointed. Got mine last May experienced some heating issues but service ctr here said it was normal suddenly 3 weeks ago screen flashed on and off then my unit died. Brought it to samsung service ctr. They said it had water damage i ask how is it even possible since i havent dropped my unit in any body of water. I was again being charged a whopping php 14 thou just to have it repaired since it wasnt covered by warranty. I asked the online chat room of Samsung for guidance was directed to go to the other service ctr for a 2nd opinion which again said the same thing. My question is why is it that samsung doesnt cover the warranty even if it was due to condensation why it had water damage? They made a very powerful phone which doesnt cope well with ventilation then the consumer has to pay the price again? I find the Samsung service ctr here in Manila to be soooo arrogant and stupid! If this happend in a another country they would just fix the unit no questions asked.

jorain, 06 Oct 2015i wanna buy s6edge So no more saying bad about it !!!!!!!!!my sony xperia z5 beats the hell out of ur s6edge camera.if anyone doesn't know-z5 has the best smartphone camera ever according to dxomark-the ultimate name in camera reviews.and yeah -i have radio,sd card support, stereo speakers with s force front surround sound,hybrid autofocus(phase detection plus contrast af),dnse,dsee all...all in all-there is no reasons at all to waste money on a s6.z5 is the best android out there.
