AnonD-177889, 17 Apr 2015@ 1701. I think a lot of people can't be wrong or stupid e... moreWith all due respect it might be good idea to check the links I provided gsm and phone arena both did test the handset and battery life is great with higher endurance than htc m9 and iPhone 6. With regards to iPhone 6 I have already mentioned the facts, so no need to do it again. The charging port was like that in S4 and headphone jack was on the top in iPhone 4 after Samsung moved it to the bottom Nexus S, Apple did it in iPhone 5.

With regards to screen well have a look at this

Here is excerpt of that review "The Galaxy S6 is in fact 23 percent more power efficient than the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus for mixed image content (that includes text together with photos, videos, and movies."

Here is to help you out again, battery life is very good.

It didn't copy anything. It' was one off a kind then , big display then at 3.5 inches with no qwerty keyboard. etc. this is usually the apple bashing.

It' means more energy consumption, Samsung will tell you otherwise that's it's more efficient but f what do you expect them to say. That screen is going to suck the life out of that phone. Its a mistake manking a 2k Display in that tiny screen with the battery power and expect a fantastic battery life, thou might be deceiving others to buy this phone but i know you are not deceiving yourself..

AnonD-373771, 17 Apr 2015Samsung did come up with new design, so you think it looks ... more@ 1701. I think a lot of people can't be wrong or stupid even expert reviewers when they said it looks like iPhone 6 bcos really for an unbiased person it does really look like iPhone 6. I know the first iPhone had rounded edges back in 2007 so it's not possible for iPhone to be copying a design they used before 2012 in Samsung Ativs. Let us even assume they copied the design of Samsung Ativs, the question is why now, it's a design Samsung didn't use again since 2012 which means it wasn't a master design to them until Apple turned the design into a blockbuster, all of a sudden they now realized their 2012 abandoned design is a winner. Samsung never used this design in their premium devices until now after apple used it. Are you telling me it's a coincide Samsung decided to make an extremely thin phone, all metal phone, antenna lines , one Touch ID as opposed to their swipe in S5 and Note 4, even the position of the headphone jack charging port and speakers exactly like apple or they did all that in the same phone bcos their backs were against the wall bcos of the sales of the iPhone 6. Or is it coincidence Samsung decided to copy their 3yr old idea and at same time copy the antenna lines on HTC just when Apple just did it. It's good to be realistic, they lifted that design from iPhone 6 bcos they had to do something perfect. It's nothin bad, it's an iPhone 6 clone with a better specifications. You can read a fuller explanation I made some time ago which I repasted.

AnonD-359663, 17 Apr 2015The posts you made doesn't provide valid points and it's no... more@1701, @aod. It is really ridiculous to think apple copied Samsung Ativs 2012 design. Pioneering is about inventing a new idea or re-inventing an old , bad, unprofitable or bankrupt idea. Apple is very good in invention and re- invention. Apple has brought a lot of pioneering features to the mobile industry, recently are the voice command (Siri), 64 bit mobile operating system, finger print touch ID, Apple pay (mobile payment) , a very simply and user friendly interface and operating system. All of which Samsung and other major phones have followed in doing too. I know a lot of people will want to disagree on apples pioneering role in all the things above but you have to realize that if not for Apple most of the ideas above were not in existence or have been tried but failed by other companies in the past until Apple re- invented those ideas. Let's take the NFC, practically all major phones except Apple had it since 2yrs now but did nothing useful with it until Apple came up with the payment system and now Samsung has followed with their own Samsung pay pal , some people will now want to say but Samsung put in NFC first , the issue is what did they do with it before the Apple pay. Another feature is the finger print which was a bankrupt abandoned idea by Motorola and no other company was going in that direction until Apple re-invented the idea and turned it into millions of dollars and the result is most companies have followed it. Let now come back to the design issue. The ist iPhone is just a smaller version of the iPhone 6 in terms of the structural design , as in the rounded edges. So it's ridiculous to say Apple copied Samsung Ativs 2012 design when it was used in the first iPhone back in 2007. But let us even assume Apple copied the Samsung Ativs 2012 design, don't you wonder why Samsung had to wait for Apple to use that same design before they used it again in their premium phone. It was a design that was not continued after 2012 meaning it was a poor design to Samsung and was never included in any of their premium phones not until Apple turned that same design by your own assertion into millions of dollars in iPhone 6 and all of a sudden Samsung just realized its 3yr old abandoned design is a winner. I don't have a problem with phones copying one or two features from another. Apple borrowed the antenna lines from HTC M8, but if you place both the iPhone 6 and HTC M8 side by side you won't think they are same bcos they are different in their overall design. So I don't have a problem with Samsung copying Apple, but the problem which I have with the GS6 and which a lot of people and reviewers have with it is that it looks exactly like the iPhone 6, as in an exact copy of iPhone 6 save for the shape of the finger print scanner. Is it a coincidence that Samsung had to wait for Apple to introduce the rounded edges , antenna lines , one touch finger print (as opposed to Samsungs swipe in GS5 and note 4) in the same phone before they do it too. Have you even looked at the base of the GS6, the position of the headphone jack, the charging or docking port and the speakers, they are exactly where Apple put them in the iPhone 6. And now again the introduction of the non removable battery and absence of micro sd slot. Samsung couldn't even hide their 'Copy Cat' this time around. By your assertion Apple may have copied some features from other phones but you can not confuse them with one another unlike the iPhone 6 and GS6 similarity. You will see when Apple decides to make an iPhone with a curved display what they will do with it instead of Samsung just putting it and doing nothing in particular with that curved display, I predict by then Samsung may have abandoned the curved display. I still maintain my assertion that the GS6 is just an iPhone 6 with a Samsung logo on it with better specifications which might not mean better performance on the long run. I still maintain my assertion too that it's a very very good phone in design and specifications and will definitely give the iPhone 6 a run for the crown. As an iPhone owner , can I buy the GS6 , the answer is NO. There is just this smoothness and simplicity yet very powerful feel you get with Apple products which is addictive, and also the smooth integration amongst their product that makes you tied down with them.

Thus it's simply apple fan trying to bash Samsung. A suggestion do look at htc m7 and samsung ativ s, that's where apple got the design for iPhone 6 from. This is forum to review the handset, yet the only posts made are trolling about battery life and brand bashing.

AnonD-177889, 16 Apr 2015I think you are the one who is trying hard to think Samsung... moreSamsung did come up with new design, so you think it looks like iPhone 6. Might want to check nexus s Samsung did place headphone jack on the bottom before iPhone. Speaker grill well you can either put it on the back, down the bottom or front. The sides of S6 are different, the top is different.

iPhone 6 actually takes design of htc m7 and samsusng ativ s. Really having all metal phone means copy of iPhone 6, also S6 has gorilla glass 4 on front and back so it's not all metal. Apple moved the power button to the side (copied Samsung), finger print scanner was first in moto atrix and apple neither invent or own touch based finger print scanner.

The qhd display on S6 actually does use less power than S5 screen by 20%, S5's superamoled screen is more efficient than LCD. Since exynos 7420 chipset is 14 nm it is actually 30-35% more efficient than SD810.

AnonD-373771, 16 Apr 2015First the design is completely different from iphone 6 and ... moreI think you are the one who is trying hard to think Samsung did something different , they madele a phone that looks exactly like the iPhone 6, in design in placement of headphone, charging port, speakers , they even made the volume control and the sum tray exactly like apple did. Why is that, they could have copied tons of other phone design, they made the phone very thin and all metal like the iPhone 6 , what else can we say, you don't have to be an apple fan to realize all that. What about the Touch ID AFTER USING SWIPE IN S5 and Note 4. I know it's dificult for you to imagine but to alot of us it's pretty glaring. Samsung targeted iPhone users this time around at the expense of their loyal customers. With respect to the 2k display , it's a trade off owners of this phone will have to deal with , the screen of any phone is the single most important consumer of battery. No matter how efficient you make the chip that screen will consume it's fair share of energy. Samsung has followed apple in doing a lot of things, but one thing they have not learnt from apple is that more doesn't always mean better. They will soon realize that. Are you telling me that come next year they will increase the display to 4k in S7 then again increase to maybe 8k in S8 etc. more doesn't always mean better. And for your information I own an iPhone 5 and 6plus but I have bought my wife the S3 and then the S5 last year , so am not a stranger to samsung.

The sides and top are different. With regards to the bottom well samsung headphone jack was on the bottom before apple. There are only three ways you can place the speaker And usb port.

Now with regard to battery life the screen, processor and memory are more power efficient. There are many benchmarks and actual battery life reviews. Those who say battery life is not good don't even have the phone.

It's is natural, you can't pack 570+ ppi into a 5.1 inch screen and expect the battery to be fantastic at 2550amps of battery size . It's give and take , it's the law of karma. Most users of this phone will eventually be looking for charging points all day or staring at a black and white screen most of the day after they activate the ultrapower saving mode.
