S6 produces the best pictures. S7 and S8 only have 12MP compared to S6s 16MP

nima , 01 Jan 2018Plesse some one answer me is s6 worst buy now?Why would it be worst? I'm buying it these days, great phone if you want good camera and decent hardware. I was choosing between xiaomis because of good specs but since i better appreciate great camera, i choose s6 sacrifycing better battery, fm radio, dual sim, memory card slot, but i can get over that.

I can confirm my icon misalignment has rectified itself. The affected apps (all Samsung apps) were updated via the Galaxy Store. I assume it messed something up. A quick restart fixed the problem. The issue with the weather and music app widgets however are extant.
The S7 Edge battery mod on the S6 is a well-documented DIY process on the interwebs. Coincidentally I'm in Korea now and will drop by a Samsung Service Store and see if they can do this for me (rather than me risking breaking the back glass). Going from 2550mAh to 3200mAh is a hefty jump, more so as they still sell brand new S7 Edge batteries here still (all genuine to boot). Might make my rear glass transparent while I'm there...

Oreo Might Improve Startup Boot & Performance As For Battery 2550MAH Is Too Low For A 5.1Inch Display When It Is Also Super Amoled Display With Higher PPI (577) QHD Display! That's The Reason Why It Definitely Show More Drainage Then Normal. (Unless If Oreo Has Performances Mode For S6, Which Can Adjust The Resolution To FHD Or Even HD) & Some Battery Improvement In The Next Update.

Only posting this because hopefully Samsung goes through public forums such as these when looking for bugs.
Since the November security update the Samsung app icons have been slightly misaligned in the apps drawer (doesn't seem to be happening for Google / other apps). This misalignment also exists in widgets on the homescreen panes (weather and music - these are lower down than they should be when placed on the top of the homescreen panes). These haven't been fixed with the December security update that I recently received.
The widget for Samsung Music app also seems to be displaying album art with the incorrect aspect ratio (this was fixed in mid 2016 but it's back).
Generally though my S6 (128GB variant) is doing well. Will be interested in the Oreo update and how it goes. At this point the battery is showing its age and I'm contemplating the S7 Edge battery mod to increase the life of my S6.

And just u saying the g5 se is better doesn't make it better than the s6! It's good that u like your phone, but please stop spamming this S6 comment section.

Stock WINS every time. Good luck with nougat on the s6
