After all the talk about sony phones i had to take a look to know what the fuss is about and wow even the z3 compact and z4 compact have better specs than samsung 5 inch flagships which is a shame. All thats missing is super amoled gorilla glass 4 and a removable battery

Not waterproof.. non-removable battery (also smaller than S5), back camera is the same... No USB 3.0
How is it supposed to last with Lollipop's terrible battery drain.. on a smaller battery that can't even be removed?
In 1 year when your S6's battery is starting to die. My S5 will be 2 years old, running like new, with a brand new, bigger battery.
I see that they had to clock the processor down 1 whole Gigahertz to try and reduce the heat from the bigger screen, and the battery drain on the phone. Looks ridiculous. Seems that Samsung is really just trying too hard to release half-baked hardware...
Who cares that it's metal. Everyone uses a case anyway and plastic is more durable with regards to 'forgiveness' from scuffs and scratches.
Stupid.

[deleted post]You do realize that htc and sony also use gorilla glass which is same as the one on S6. gsm did state this is per-release handset so any tests done is not what the final product will be like.

Any person who respects him/herself shouldn't go to another phone's page to advertise his/her phone (unless he/she owns both phones of course, and can say all pros/cons based on a daily usage unlike what we see).
Also that only would deserve the famous title "xxxx's employee" that we see each time they aren't happy.

1- Youtube video comparison. Brilliant idea. If i would compare 2 displays, i would try something better than that. Let's say a movie scene in 1080p or a recorded 1080p clip for example (since these are 1080p phones), not some youtube compressed video.
2- In that room, full of people so it seems, i guess no one had a clue that settings of Galaxy S are far more advanced than any other brands?
Brightness has "auto+manual" mode already and a real total manual mode. (But it's true that @ 100% Z3 has the edge according to measurements, but 100% brightness indoor makes no sense)
And Display settings : there are 5 different modes in there for all calibration tastes. If no one in your room didn't bother to speak about that, i think Z3 (even with its white balance setting) was good enough for you all.
PS: just quoting from a review comparing Z3 to S5 :
"we were taken aback to measure even colder colors on the Z3, to the tune of the abominable 10324 Kelvins, with 6500K as a reference. This makes the Z3 panel one of the coldest we've measured so far, and looking very artificial, not to mention that the hue presentation is all over the place when referenced to the standard ..."

IPS doesn't even come close to it, this is fact proven by every site that reviewed the S5. In fact it had title of best display until Note 4.

Yet with solid evidence you still insist that Z3's screen is better. please do some research before posting invalid and false information.
Also the fact that you seem to think it's better due to your test, just further proves that you're wrong.

Yes we know that the S6 will sell more, we all know why, but many of us wouldn't even imagine having a Samsung device because they're boring, dull and hardly innovative, and also cheap looking.

Well i just say what i saw with my own eyes. Z3 display performed way better compared to the AMOLED S5 screen. We put our phones neck a neck t oeach other and just played the movie. Everyone in the room says withoud any doubt that the Z3 display is superior to the Galaxy S5.I am not a fan boy just a withness....I dont care about any phone brand but people just habe to look outside the rought data specs in my opinion.

I had my s4 out on under rain, also earlier during heavy rain in my pocket. The device didn't die and was perfectly fine. Like it was said before you can buy S6 active.
