I think that this link seems to be appropriate to Amoled/IPS debate.
The Galaxy S6 and S6 edge won commendation from DisplayMate for their color accuracy in basic screen mode, with the company rating both models “the most color accurate display that we have ever measured” and “visually indistinguishable from perfect” in their appearance. In brightness, the S6 models rank as “the brightest mobile display that we have ever tested.”

You would never say that about LG or Sony or Moto or MS or... Well, enough said.
Like for every product being released by a company, it's trial and error. What is working for S6 will make it to S7 and the contrary not, i don't think they waited for your enlighted comment to notice that else Samsung wouldn't be such a giant.
To come back to S6, they are pushing more tech inside than any other competitor but yet, you find it to be less? Just by seeing G4 renderers and by having read that LG wants to go premium too for 2nd Half of the year says enough about competition for this 1st half.

Imagine if samsung left the sd card, 1080p screen, removable battery, headphone jack on the top, water proofing and added radio rds then no one would even complain

Latest news says Samsung galaxy s6 display thrown the iphone 6 display in the dust. Already s6 camera thrown iphone 6 in dust. And coming more news about processor, memory, functionalities ............stay tune gsmarena news.

really good device if only sammy added a micro sd slot and fm radio with RDS this would be the creation of the decade. good device nontheless. trully exceptional indeed.

Also it has been said S6 is even better. Amoled is no longer over-saturated.

Samsung needs to accept that the S6 is good but falls short on too many fronts that they had the advantage on and gave up and some they should have claimed
Tech companies need to push the envelope like never before if they want to stay relevant.... The S6 does not do that.

In front of Samsung super AMOLED pin point sharp display iphone old lcd display seems old faded and dull. Next point is AMOLED degrades but not until your age become very old like your body and organs. Lcd displays are old , cheap and used even $100-$300 devices of Samsung .

Having said amoled screens produce the most natural color, vivid colours and great colour that no other screen can match. AMoled is superior to IPS.
Note 4 was reposted as the best screen among smartphones. It is reported that screen on galaxy s6 is superior to note 4.

Go see on ZTE Blade S6, lenovo S90, LG G3, S5, Moto X pages, you will find me there. I own all those devices.
Be happy that i've answered you coming from nowhere into discussion and just assuming things.
Your fundamental points are not the same ones that the ones all of those future buyers but keep on wishing for things, when you will have spent some cash like i did on several flagships, you ll come to your sense and see that manufacturers have contraints : being public, competitors, time, sales, components, size, weight, safety, design, architectures, laws, reception, tech, etc..
But most of people prefer just caring about what seems obvious to them.
