Anonymous, 26 Feb 2015If the network goes down in an emergency FM radio can still... moreValid point. But still, this is a luxury item. Not a necessity. It's not life dependent. Plenty of people without a smartphone who still have entertainment and get access to vital information.
Bottom line, don't like the specs, don't buy. It's not the developer's problem you need a specific technique on your phone, just because u want to be dependent on it.

AnonD-368055, 26 Feb 2015FM Radio is an outdated technique. No need and use for it o... moreIf the network goes down in an emergency FM radio can still broadcast vital information.
Also remember some countries have appalling bandwidth and some countries have expensive data plans..FM radio gives these folk free entertainment, news and vital information independent of data costs and no network signal. This is subject to the headphones being attached to use as antenna and also Sammy phones have FM recording since D900i.

FM Radio is an outdated technique. No need and use for it on a phone. There are plenty alternatives. If the station is not on tunein, bad luck! Buy a radio yourself. If you don't want to use an internet connection, why are u using a smartphone??
