I get why most people want 4gb ram because if the phone comes with a 64 bit processor then yes, for the phone to use it's full potential it will need 4 gb ram. But the problem at the moment is 90 percent of the people that will buy this phone will not even use 10 percent of the phones full power. People like us will be using it a lot because we are kind of like phone geeks that understand specs but if you give a regular person even a galaxy s3 they will think it runs smoothly because they will not put any stress on the phone at all. The most they will probs do is play candy crush and maybe listening to music. So from samsungs point of view I can see why they might not put 4 gb ram and save a bit of money.

Maybe you got the Alpha, not this unmade yet phone! otherwise you are pretender or you are working in Samsung's warehouse.

Hi Sammy r u awake? If not pls get up b4 its too late..Chinese brands with solid configration n superb design with low prices margain entering market like conqueror.I know its hrd to find expectional design its fine ur alpha design is awesome bt the bezel on top,bottom n side is just ridiculess look at Lg ur rival from ur own homeland the G3 is totaly new generation type of phone even chinese hav left u behind in design wise wake up i was a gr8 fan of urs now m getting fedup wit ur desgn n lack of battery power.

i bought it 1 day ago. performance is pretty good at 3 gb ram,asphalt 8 runs very well,but design is 100% different from the picture with galaxy alpha,metallic frame,ip 68,removable 3340 mah is very very good,gorilla glass 4 does its job,because I accidentally dropped on hard concrete from 1,20m and no one scratch,sound is twice better than htc one m8 because have stereo speakers at 110dB and twice clear sound

Btt the drawback of Samsung phones are that their price slashes upto 40 % within the 8 months of release

Everybody is guessing, basic sale strategy is to intro or upgrade one at a time,to let consumers spend money on every new model.
It's 3 months to go, quiet a lot of speculation of specifications under way, make bluffs till it's official announcement.

Applications or games on 64-bit need definitely the 4Gb ram any PC with 64-bit OS need 4Gb. If Samsung go for 3Gb ram, they will lose this time 70% of market share as many companies are going for 4Gb ram. Just mark my words.
