Play games, using internet &or wifi, all do use battery power.
I don't play games, internet, and many others.
At home with wifi, check for updates and other message (ie. Whatsapp),etc.
Sleep > turn off the phone. It can last me several days.
I used another phone to play games, internet search, etc.

It do use a lot of battery power.
Internet &or mobile data do always on stand-by, like search for every few seconds.
If not, why there are info to tell you that several apps need to update.
Also, some apps will activate and check for any whatsapp, facebook, etc; to inform you you have missed calls, message (whatsapp), etc.

Just go thru all, or scroll down all the way and click for "reset settings".

Ir blaster isn't working... Check through the camera it's not even showing the light, any solution... Checked in safe mode as well

I used galaxy S6 for 2 months when it launched but facing draining fast battety issue 2 or 3 times charged in a day i m not a gamer only used internet browsing and calling now i m using Galaxy A7 2016 a for about 4 months and very much satisfied with it because good display looks like note 5 with monster battery life i recommed Galaxy A7 2016

My phone has overheated 2 times n... morehi same issues I have sent my phone back twice for the repair about over heating and battery only having half a day out of and drive for a living? my phone heats up a lot when browsing the internet I dreed to think when I play games on it as it uses more power again Samsung wont refund or a replacement I should of went for an apple 6s plus as I has the 4s before the reason for is I thought you get more out of your money with the galaxy s6 .

The updates are horrible. My phone has overheated 2 times now and They lost all my photos and personal data. They will not replace my phone. I've already sent it in once and was without a phone for 2 weeks. Came back unfixed. I was told I had to send it in again. I will not use Samsung again.

So it will charge to about 40% to 50% within half hour.
DO NOT LEAVE YOUR PHONE CHARGING TOO LONG.
Once you exceed certain hours, it will auto dis-charge the phone.
This is to prevent damage to the phone and battery.
Lastly, you can do charge at any time, and not necessary to wait till the phone tell you to charge. Too often will cause the battery to drain. Try do charge when below 50%.
Once in a while, just do a full charge to 100%.
You can stop charging at any time and any %.
