Gibz, 18 May 2015Battery really sad. Battery not up to the mark.Samsung has changed its design, hardware and camera. The exynos 7 is now the most powerful processor in a mobile device. It has Qhd screen 577ppi and compact and light to use in one hand. The battery is not the best but by far no where near the worst. The battery still lasts longer than its biggest rival device which I won't diss because that also is a very good phone and I own one. If the battery was any bigger you would lose the compact design if Samsung was to keep the display the same as previous models it would hand the best display to the LG. it has fast charge that fills the battery in just over an hour. So I don't see the problem and if all you can find to discredit the s6 edge is battery, which is as good as other leading manufacturers and sd slot then we'll done Samsung that's all people can find to have a pop at you. In the future sd will be a thing in the past like floppy disk, cassettes and cartridges as cloud space like it or not will take over. We have seen this in all modern tech and it is the future. I have a 64gig version then 100gig free cloud provided by Samsung and I'm more then happy with this futuristic device. As Samsung advertises next is now and I believe them.

64-bit architecture is not mentioned anywhere in the specs, is should be
OS: Android OS, v5.0.2 64-bit (Lollipop)
processor:Quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 & Quad-core 2.1 GHz Cortex-A57 64-bit

If you go to the rural areas, I suggest you should bring at least three large battery capacity power banks together!

Anonymous, 17 May 2015Yes, nice cafe that have wireless charging provided is a go... moreIndeed
It depends on where you go. So I guess the best way to do is, buy S6 Edge and also buy another phone not to bad with battery drainage.
I think people who travel with less money spent should go with two phones for taking pics...
Are you planning to buy active? Just curious.

AnonD-365011, 17 May 2015Thank you for your advice sir. I actually have Iron Man S6... moreYes, nice cafe that have wireless charging provided is a good thing in developed country but for travellers who travel to place like Africa, India, Indonesia, Nepal, Philipines and all not going to be happy with 2600mah battery. Budget travellers don't spend their time in the city, they prefer going to rural area with countryside landscape.

Anonymous, 17 May 2015You should wait for galaxy s6 active that comes with 3000ma... moreThank you for your advice sir.
I actually have Iron Man S6 Edge in my mind now, if given a chance to preorder it.....
However, we will see more and more fast food restaurants/cafes that prvide wireless charging pads for customers...so yes indeed battery seems to be the biggest issue for S6, but you can easily charge it anywhere outside as more and more restaurants set to provide wireless charging for customers...just like free wifi which already becomes a mainstream.
I will still consider buying S6 active if I have extra money....

Have the white S6 Edge 64Gb since a few days. Everything is working fine. Camera fast and clear. Speaker good and loud. Super screen, love the edges effect even if there is no utility. Charge is very fast. My last phone was a Galaxy Mega 6.3 which was built like a Tank...so S6 looks very fragile but i like how pocketable and light it is.
Great buy, nice to have something to show for the money i spent. Standard S6 is just too plain.

I've had the S6 edge since the day it came out. I've used it the same amount that I used to use my S4 before it. I would go as far as saying I've used it more as I've had the S-Health app running continuously and the Bluetooth on so it syncs with my FitBit. In terms of battery life I've gone on average 12 hours between needing to charge it and on days when I don't us the media player when running or had the Bluetooth off I've got a comfortable 16 hours use. I use the wireless charger to charge it overnight so I'm not using the fast charger provided. This will cause the battery to degrade faster so I've opted for the slow charge option. I have used the fast charger when I need a power boost and it works like a dream. Get in at 7pm with ~10% battery, by the time I shower and get changed its on +70%.
