Its a style, yet to be practiced by consumers, nothing else, they are encashing the style. Normal S6 is equally fit, see the price 900€ fr edge. They can never be iPhone copycats as to maintain singled price fr only one model. No sd card Fixed Battery are also iPhone traits. I bet within 2 qtrs prices will come crashing down, ad then focus on N5-

AnonD-372883, 09 Mar 2015First I have to say that I'm not a Samsung fan, but in this... moreYou're missing the point here, I have a 64gb micro sd, which i had for the last few years in my s3,s4 and curentelly on my s5....Never had any problems with it.
I simply won't buy an expensive piece of **** that does exactly the same stuff as my present phone and won't be able to take all my data.
Samsung are digging their own hole!

m86k, 09 Mar 2015A wise comment daniam! I had already forgotten about mic... moreThank you!

And BTW, my problem was not only that I lost the money that I paid for those microSD cards (they are kinda cheap these days anyway), but more important was that I lost precious stuffs for me, like some pictures that I care about and I'll never get them back.

And one more thing. when I sad that the non-removable battery will perform better, I was referring to the life span, not to the amount of operating hours until recharge.

Usually detachable batteries are seen almost like consumables by the phone manufacturers. That's why the warranty period for those is usually lower than the phone itself. They know that are cheap made products, which will not last for long.

On the other hand, as far as I know, on non-removable battery phones the warranty is the same for both because they are considered as a whole.

AnonD-372883, 09 Mar 2015First I have to say that I'm not a Samsung fan, but in this... morethat's true. At least 32 GB of internal storage is enough. This is ssd and not some snail-paced micro sd card that'll eventually fail. Why can't some people just appreciate what samsung does? If the S6 should have come with removable battery and micro sd slot they'll find something else to say. To me the S6 is the best android phone. Critics will have to live with that.

I had already forgotten about microsd bricking.
There was also bricking/corrupting reports with 64gb sandisk into Galaxy S4. It happened to a friend of mine and luckily not to me.

As someone said on sammobile : if people don't realize the tech behind the S6 series and prefer complaining about their microsd slot, it's better for them to not buy a S6. They won't use it efficiently.

First I have to say that I'm not a Samsung fan, but in this comment I'll stand up for the S6, regarding the concerns that some people have about the non-removable battery or the missing microSD card slot.

              Off topic:

I owned in the past an S3 but shortly after I moved towards Nexus 4 which I still use today.
I don't plan to upgrade yet because as a smartphone with only 16GB, day by day use (apps, photos and phone calls), still hold up pretty good.
My next choice will be, probably, Asus Zenfone 2 - I really need a dual sim card phone plus the Asus quality and reliability at a fair price compared to Samsung.
For movies or heavy Android gaming I have the nVIDIA Shield tablet.

              Back on topic:

My reasons to move away from Samsung in the past were (among others) exactly the ones about that some people are complaining today: the S6 has no microSD card slot nor removable battery.

About the lack of microSD card slot:

My previous S3 bricked a 16GB microSD card (Kingston) after 3 weeks and a 2nd 8GB (Sandisk) after 2 months. I also had the same reports from some of my friends about their microSD slot equipped phones.

Also, if you don't know yet, the microSD cards are NOT officially supported by Google (Android owner). They are considered a security breach. That's why you don't find a microSD card slot in any of their own Nexus product line (phones or tablets).

But for real now! The S6 has up to 128GB. Of course you can get those extra GB for a cheaper price with a microSD card option, but the read/write speed, safety issues and reliability differences between an integrated SSD and an external microSD are pretty important in my oppinion. Plus, if you go for the S6, you consider yourself a premium buyer, right?

              About the non-removable battery:

On my previous owned S3 the quality of the removable battery was... well... I guess you know better if you happened to own one. I ended up buying 2 more replacements. Same problems also occurred to most of my friends who owns phones with interchangeable batteries (including S4 and 5)
On my Nexus 4 the non-removable battery is still working like in day one. Same with my friends who owns Nexus 5, 6 or Nokia or other non-remobable battery phone models.

AND NOW, every one here who is worried about non-removable battery should know that the companies use premium builded batteries for their phones if those are not removable.

To be honest, when I bought my Nexus 4 I first had the same worries about the non-removable battery, but after some internet and friends researches I made the step and I had no regrets after.

              Conclusion:

If you are a Samsung fan, go for it! The battery should perform significantly better compared with the previous models. And the internal SSD is a faster, safer and reliable solution than an external microSD card.
