I've ordered the S7 online at a very reasonable price specially since the S8 has hit the stores. Preferred it over the S7 edge as I'm not comfortable with edge phones although I've used the S6 edge plus but it's pretty hard to find a decent screen protector for it. Well it'll arrive by this Friday, hope it turns out to be good.

Performance is flagship you might face some slow down but not that worse.
Speakers is a one mono at the bottom, volume is above average, con you might block it with your hand especially when you use it in landscape mode "" i don't like that speaker position""
Camera, the s7 was one of the best smartphone cameras in 2016, auto focus super fast, dynamic range is very good, colors over saturated, overexposed ""always over bright""
image stabilization is average.
Design is taste, buy a case and screen protector it is very slippery and sensitive.

At normal to more intensive use the battery is always good for a at least whole day or a bit more
With realy heavy use I will need take a powerbank with me (like shooting video's and take lots and lots of pictures) (when you go visit the zoo or something).
I think the battery life is one of the strong points of the S7. Before this one I had a Sony z5 compact, wich would never ever last two days, only maybe if I didn't use it at all...

The pro is that you're getting for the most part essentially current flagship specs for a much cheaper price. The only con I can think of is that the phone is fragile. One single drop can easily shatter its glass screen and body and repair will cost you upwards of 200 dollars. S7 is a better choice than the iPhone 7, Google Pixel, LG G6, Huawei P10 and Sony Xperia XZs. It's more advanced yet cheaper than all of them.

I haven't realized until now that the S7 page has more hits than the S7 edge page here in GSMArena. The difference is like 3 million. I thought the S7 edge was more popular.

It's normal for battery to drain quickly after a major update because of many background processes during this time. The phone is still learning your usage pattern. Give it a week or two and the battery drain will stabilize.

Anonymous, 09 May 2017Battery life is worse with Nougat 7.0 they say ???? :((((((yes and no, i update my phone a week ago (S7 Exynos version) and i noticed at the beginning a big drop in battery life but lately it's been getting better. It gets through a day so it's enough for me but i can say that except the resolution change option and some new tweaks including a new camera interface you're not missing anything special. You can update yourself and see because the update is very stable, had 0 problems with it but you can also wait for a new version to be more safe because you're not missing anything special.
