Ive been using s7 since January. Superb battery and fast performance. I didnt update it yet coz Ive read so many negatve about the Nougat.

You need to let the phone optimize itself for a week or two after updating to Nougat. There are a lot of background activities going on at that point because the phone is still learning your usage pattern. The battery life will increase after that period. But you can always kill or put the apps you don't use to sleep in the Battery tab in Device maintenance so they don't consume battery. You also have to familiarize yourself with the new Performance modes and Power Saving modes built into the system. They have options to greatly enhance your performance or battery life. I'm running Nougat for 1 and a half months now and I have zero issues at all. I'm getting more than 6 hours SOT and 4+ hours of 4G browsing on my S7. Millions have already updated their S7 to Nougat and only a few are complaining. The S7 is so much better on Nougat than on Marshmallow and miles ahead of the Sony Xperia XZ.

I'm using S7 for almost a year now. I have to admit that the phone is good.
But the battery drains fast and the loudspeaker sound is unimpressive, these are annoying

Had the phone over a year with no issues.
Since the Nougat upgrade I've had issues with the battery.
When I'm using it and it's on charge the battery doesn't increase quickly (maybe 1% every 5 minutes)
When I'm not using it the battery charges quickly as normal.
Has anyone else had this problem, and if so, is there any way of sorting this out?

More than one year has passed since it was released and its successor has now been released and the S7 still feels so current. It still bests all 2017 flagship smartphones released so far such as Huawei P10, LG G6 and Sony Xperia XZs.
