Download and transfer to the S7.
As for the warranty, it is covered, at least in my region. I am not in Europe si I am not sure it does in your case. Contact Samsung about it (say the screen has a persistent red tint in some areas)

I am aware that S7 battery life could never match A2 Lite, but honestly, A2 Lite has even too much battery life. I guess I overcompensated from HTC M9 :)
Well, I guess I will get EU Exynos version since I will buy it locally, not online.
Most of them (in my budget) are out of warranty but I will look out for one that still has it, although I can hardly believe I could get the screen replaced under warranty just for burn in, considering I live in Croatia... :)
I looked up a few apps but cant find the one you are talking about.. or did you mean that I make an image myself and then send it over BT to S7?

So basically it w... moreI haven't used it right from marshmallow but switching from nougat to oreo bought a huge stablity to the phone which was lacking with nougat... Battery backup also increased slightly... According to my usage pattern ( lots of YT videos, browsing, social media ) it hardly makes up to the evening... A little battery boost is always required in the evening and in some cases I even charged the phone twice a day... So, if you want a phone with good battery, just ignore the S7... Btw what's your budget?

So basically it w... moreFrom my experience, Oreo has given my S7 a new breath. I got 20% higher SOT (Screen-On Time).
You need to look for burn-ins. If the device is still on warranty, you'll be able to get the screen replaced for free, but this way you can talk down the price. Check the back panel for IMEI too (phones with non-genuine repairs do not have the IMEI written). Also avoid like plague the US branded models. Updates are terrible on them. Europe Exynos is the best (depends on the CSC, get back to me if you get this model), Canada Exynos is fair (timely but you miss the Mobile Data toggles because of carriers). Korean models get updates sporadically (ironic). So get a SM-G930F or W8 if you care for updates
If you meant "what to look for to know if it's counterfeit", then check the Android version and try the AMOLED test, which is to display a full-black image with a small white spot. Cover the small white spot. If you see light bleed or any kind of light (do a close inspection), then it's not an AMOLED and the phone is fake. In doubt, do a benchmark with Geekbench. This should be quite fast on the real deal. Compare the scores you get with those: 1400 Single Core, 5000 multi-core. If the phone meets or exceeds those values, it's genuine. Or else, it's a knock-off

So basically it will be a huge upgrade whatever version I get, right.
Well, buttery smooth operation is all I care about, I was just curious.
What I am also interested is battery life. I came from HTC M9 (62h gsm arena endurance, which was a challenge lately, especially with degradation) to Mi A2 Lite (106h - awesome, although 2h+ charge time) but I see S7 has "only" 80h when new and I guess test was done on Marshmallow.
Do you know how is battery life on Oreo compared to Marshmallow with moderate use (no gaming, mostly calls, Whatsapp, browsing and YT)?
Also, maybe any suggestions what to look out for in used S7 (apart from obvious visual checks)?

zvonko, 13 Nov 2018how do I know if it has ISOCELL sensor or Sony IMX when buy... moreIt's at random unfortunately. Use AIDA64 to find out. Don't get me wrong, the IMX260 is still way ahead of midrange cameras. And no, it won't get 8.1. Actually there is no difference fon Samsung devices. 8.1 changes are minimal and are only noticeable or effective on AOSP-like phones. But Oreo on the S7 is a butter-smooth experience with a ton of features. You do still get monthly Android security updates, something LG can't even achieve on their G7 flagship (let alone the S7-gen G5 or even the G6 lol), or Huawei on their P20 flagships (or the P10, S8-gen), or Motorola on their 2016 flagship (S7 generation). I am planning to switch from Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite to S7 mainly because of the camera. Unfortunately I will have to sacrifice amazing battery life and Android updates but it should be worth it for a good sample of S7 with awesome camera.
Also, do you know if S7 will get Android 8.1 or is it stuck on 8.0?

Yasir, 10 Nov 2018Is it worthwhile to buy this phone now? A box packed unit i... moreDefinitely. This phone is more powerful than most midrange and low-end models. And it is a premium package too: Wireless charging (Ahem 1+), 3.5mm headphone jack (Ahem *everyone*), QHD Super AMOLED (Even 1+ is stuck at FHD), Dual Pixel PDAF 12MP 4K camera that still makes awesome pictures (if you have the ISOCELL sensor, the Sony IMX is noticeably worse, having used both), Android Oreo with jam-packed Experience 9 UI, monthly security updates, premium GG4 build, Fingerprint scanner where it should be... What else is there to ask?

Manufacturer r forcing people to hold an elephant sized phone all the day in their hand which isn't pocketable. That's how they can advertise their Branding & people drops & breaks the phone frequently and customers have to buy another new phone. For this reason they don't provide a removable battery as well.
I also don't wanna use a phone larger than 140mm night & 70mm width.
