I have this phone for over 4 years now and it is the reason I don't understand the current smartphone market at all. And also the reason I can't find a reasonable mid-range replacement since current flagships now chose to sell for over 1000 euros: its processor is better than current mid-range phones. Qualcomm 730Gs can't catch up to the Exynos 8890 or the 820. In contrast to this crazy, persistent trend of 99% HUGE phones over 160mm tall, this one is rather 'civil' in size. The battery life is great and the screen is amazing (mid-rangers are mostly sporting lcd screens). You only get a single (but great) camera but that's quite enough anyway. The only upgrade I'm looking forward to is having a more easy-to-handle phone. One I don't have to precariously balance on my pinky while typing or scrolling. Huge screens are good and all but they are not worth it if it means having to carry a bag to keep your phone with you or not being able to properly handle it in one hand while moving. I seriously don't understand how more people don't just DEMAND smaller phones when the market is pumping model after model, each with different versions by so many manufacturers. Whatever happened to just casually walking down the street with just your pockets, your hands being free and your back unburdened?

what i like about S7 edge in 2020
          1. super amoled display
          2. long battery life( better than s 10)
          3. samsung pay
          4. great sensors- barometer, heart rate, sp02
          5. wireless charging
          6. quick charging
          7. decent camera
          8. waterproof and shock resistant

what i dont like but tolerable
          1. no extension for storage( really need to make use of google storage or samsung cloud , its good in way as its safe if your phone destroyed.

for its price in 2020, if you want durable, strong, resistant phone , S7 edge worth considering.

I got mine second hand mid 2018, it was fast, had great battery life, excellent camera, overall amazing phone. Suddenly it just became rubbish, poor battery life, overheating issues, lags, and pink line on screen started to appear

I've been using this phone for 4 years now. Really amazing performance, great battery life (mine is exynos model) , good camera (compared to phones from 2016) and nothing to complain about. I'm even writing this comment from it now.

The only issue I had( after one and half year of usage) was weird pink line shows on the display (common problem. google it to see what it's like). Fortunately the phone was still under warranty I went to them. They took it and in a couple of weeks I had my phone back as if it was brand new.
They even replaced the battery. Really if it wasn't for the S/N and mac address. I would've thought they gave me a new replacement phone.

After staying on stock rom for 4 years. Recently I installed FloydQ v 2.0 and everything is great. I don't feel like I need to upgrade to a new smartphone.

Bet, 11 Jun 2020Just today after using my s7 edge for nearly 2 and half yea... moreI'll advice taking it down to a local IT repair shop. They should be able to attempt installing an older version of android onto your phone. Be aware that this will also delete all data on your phone, so if you want to save any of it, you need to tell them that. Otherwise they'll just reinstall it and there would be no way of getting it back (the data that is). The most likely culprit is a software malfunction that has occurred during an update. They happen sometimes, although rarely. The least likely culprit is the phone just giving up.

It is after all a computer and a constant blue screen booting sounds like a BSOD which stands for Blue Screen Of Death, meaning the computer just constantly restarts after showing a blue screen. Only way to stop that is to open the BIOS (Basic Input Output System) before the blue screen appears, which is an easy feat to do on a computer, but not so easy to do on a phone, hence why you need an IT repair shop to do it, as they have the software tools to get access to the phones BIOS (if they don't, they're pretty bad as most modern IT shops today have the physical and virtual tools to repair phones and tablets too)
