Realised today, using 4k setting in camera phone heats up in 10min and asks me to close camera app because device heated up! I missed a shot. If anyone wants a proof, I can take screenshots and upload somewhere.

Anonymous, 08 Jun 2016It seems you buy a copy of s7 edge or you do not own this phone.Well, long story short I own 2 s7 edges, both on 2 year contract with tmobile. The problem is, most of you guys used only Samsung phones or a very basic android phones before upgrading. I have used almost all greatest flagships in last 4 years. Just because I made a commitment with this phone for next 2 years, I blindly do not praise the brand.at the same time I won't be returning these phones too, because TMOBILE will charge me hefty $150 restocking fee! Well, within a week of using the phone, it stutters at basic games like leap day, when the battery is 28%, I used htc one a9(midrange) as a daily driver

At this moment my s7 edge is 1d,8h and 19 minutes awake with 1 charge. GREAT.

So in your 12 hours of use, 12% was lost to just having that clock or calendar on. I find it useless, as most people will have watches on their wrists. Have a look at the battery stats I just posted. It's averaging 27% battery left on a 16.5 hour usage period. With Always Screen On, that can be reduced to just 10%.

There are two issues in this phone...
            1) there is no seperate sd card slot. Either we can use 2nd sim or sd card. Very bad...

            2) price is very high.

                      http://flic.kr/p/H3sZBL

You are right on the dot with the 22 hours. It can go higher, but she has been playing Need for Speed lately, which does consume power faster. In fact, she used 90% of the battery in 6 hours just playing that game. Anyway, you can see the average usage is about 16.5, with 27% left, with just above 4 hours SOT, 400mb wifi. Projected average consumption if using full battery is 22 hours. Not bad, just not enough for some people like me who use an average of 6 hour SOT, 4 GB LTE, 17-18 hours stretch.

The Excel calculation gives me an glimpse of the next Note if Samsung decides to still give it a sealed battery. I'm a voracious consume of even up to 8GB in a day, and do use my current Note 3 as a hotspot.

Super great battery life. Nothing super incredible, but from 22 to 28~29 hours of battery. Now my s7 edge has 32% of battery, 23hours of use since last charge.
                            Really great.
My note 5 battery life was about 13 hours max.

Shades, 07 Jun 2016I can't see the point in reducing the camera pixels. I mean... moreCamera are not about pixel count, its a hype. Nikon dslr lowest in the stable have 24mp while the flagship that used by pro and cost a fortune have 26mp. Megapixel is an old marketing hype, its the sensor, lens, processor and the program that make good photo. S7 edge is a good phone but not for everyone as it isnt cheap. The built quality are superb and the display are darn clear and sound reproduction were nice, stuck a good earphone. No one in their balance brain use phone as hometheatre. Other than that is you have the money to throw around get this well balance smartphone. One the otherhand you can get simillar spec phone ( on paper ) for less but in real world there are some missing things somewhere

Thank you. I tried hard reset couple of times, apart from the fact that both are brand new devices and I am the first person who unboxed them.
Also, do you guys get google playstore error -505 for some apps while installing. I tried all the ways to install NJ transit MyTix app and with whatsoever effort, the app never got installed.

Perhaps you may want to hard reset your phone and start afresh or show it to the tech support. Good luck!

Shreedhar, 08 Jun 2016There are few things to consider while making the decision ... moreAnyone commenting on the battery life S7 edge like 3 days use etc - Its all bullshit. I got 2 new S7 edge phones on BOGO plan and both have similar battery life. I unplug at 100% at 6:15AM, the time I reach office at 7:55AM it reaches 80%, by 1PM 60%, 4PM 45%, 6PM 28%. By the time I reach back home at 6:20 I am left with 20-22%.
I have good network reception at both work and home (T Mobile) and I am not a heavy user. I may open the phone twice in an hour to check th eupdate and use for around 10min max in one stretch. With the same usage with HTC One A9, I went home with 45% battery left.

So, Sammy fans dont fool others with fake battery details. It is what it is. I bought the phone for the same reason about battery life, but nothing that I expected.

manisha, 08 Jun 2016thnx a lot but is its sound is louder than j7 n all bcoz ... moreThere are few things to consider while making the decision from S7 to S7 edge. Indeed S7 edge is a great phone but not for everyone.
I have big hands, but still S7 edge is too big in hands. When it comes to comfort there are 2 reasons why you should think about S7 apart from size are:
                                      1. S7 edge, edge screan is all over an sometimes it makes it very uncomfort as your palm touches the edge and the typing or tapping is not so effective in needy situations.
                                      2. This is very important - its bit difficult to leift the phone from a table becasue of the very narrow edges on the side. Most of the times I end up struggling to pick the phone up.

                                      Good Luck!
