This is really history into making. Samsung listened to users and combined the best of S5 and S6 with much bigger battery, faster wired and wireless charging, better water and dust proofing, and the world's best sAMOLED display. With free compatible Gear VR too. This will be the best year for everyone!

It's pathetic to note that, S7 edge will have viewable face of same as S7. Even ppi areare less too. Being 100$ expensive is saved, just fr pep of it. Already S6 edge still does not get screen guard, asas has scratches, S7 wud be fine, only to physically examine on 11th March.

It's amazing ppi is lesser by 55 against S7. Naturally screen size being bigger, but SD card will not be an internal storage, and mostmost of apps will not be transferable to card. Only pen drive usage left. Very pathetic, even Android 6 has made it mandatory to use as internal, but thisthis function has been disabled. Anybody discuss if n knowledge.

Both Samsung n LG are suck on this new S7 n G5 launching. S7 edge 5.5" is in name only. The width become narrower at 72.6 mm as the phone become taller while G5 shrink to 5.3" instead of maintaining 5.5". I think both will have a uphill task of maintaining the market position which will fall into Apple gain.

AnonD-124732, 25 Feb 2016Will there be an edge plus?i cant see it as this 5.5" seems to be the sweet spot between 5.1" and 5.7", and perhaps creating a bit of distance from the 5.7" note series, but never say never i guess

Kev_Man, 24 Feb 2016I've spent the last 3 days trying to decide which phone to ... moreAlso had a headache on which phone to switch from G3. I think 2800mAH is ok for G5 because screen size down to 5.3" thus i think it's equivalent to 3000mAH on a 5.5". That also explains why V10 battery life sucks, mainly because it's a 5.7" screen + a secondary screen but with a 3000mAH battery. If V10 got 3200mAH or more battery, it'll be perfect.

I'm sure that, like all top electronics companies, Samsung has a development team that goes out into the general public and asks the question, guys, what do you want?
This development team needs to be fired.
Why remove functionality like the IR blaster port, surely it didn't take up that much space? Why do we still have a non-replacable battery when heavy users, like myself, need to find a charging point after 3-4 hours of use?
I'm glad the memory card slot is back, that was a major fail on the S6, and should have meant that the development team was replaced.... This time it seems as if the team is made up of folks that don't have multiple TV's and appliances with dozens of remote controls, and guys that use their phones to sms with (only)...

Could be much better If they announce dual sim models will be available or not, any if yes, in which regions. And a clear announcement about infrared port could be much more relieving.

No man, 24 Feb 2016No FM radio, no IR blaster, no removable battery, frustrati... moreI've spent the last 3 days trying to decide which phone to get. I currently have a LG G3, and I love it. And was looking forward to the LG G5. But the deal breakers for me with the LG G5 are the weaker battery (from 3000 mAh on the G3, down to 2800 mAh). And the display size down from 5.5 to 5.3. Lack of SD card and removable battery have been deal breakers for me. But now that Samsung has brought back the SD card, and bumped the battery up to 36 mAh on the S7 Edge, and has a 5.5 display, and fingerprint reader. I went back to Samsung today.

Anonymous, 24 Feb 2016Once again..do you know what the word 'rumour' means?!Oh yes
I understansd its meaning
My question was...
If force touch would be in the specs as rumoured it would have been decalred as S7 number one new stength point like what is being said about iphone 3d touch.
But why when it was dropped from the specs by samsung no one mention it as a weak point.
I was aiming that many reviews are just marketing what they got and not really highlight what was missing specially whole world was waiting for samsung force touch
That is it.
