With CDMA you will be able to use all features, on GSM you will lose some of the features like 4g,you will only be able to get 3g. This is only if you have a CDMA carrier like Sprint and Verizon.

That's why you can switch your sim card and install in any phone you want as long as its a cdma account like verizon. The difference is you can only use with the CDMA carrier on 4g.You can still use with any other carrier even GSM but only on 3g and if the phone is unlocked which they are.
