While high resolution sounds impressive, the physical surface area of the sensor determines the total light-gathering capacity. On a small sensor, crowded pixels result in smaller individual photodiodes, which capture fewer photons. This leads to a lower signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and reduced dynamic range, often making a high-megapixel small sensor perform worse than a lower-resolution large sensor.
The software that processes the photo is also of great importance.
So S8+ has very good camera for it's time.

rex, 06 Jul 2025i need to replace both front and back screens. will it be p... moreYes you can visit any samsung authorised dealer and get it replaced but in my opinion it's not worth it to replace front screen because it's too much expensive it's even costlier then phone itself so i would suggest you to use it as it is if it's working it depends how much it is damaged, my front screen was also minor damaged but i am still using it

Anonymous, 23 Jun 2025Kindly what adjustments can be done to extend the battery backupThe best solution is that don't charge your phone upto 100% everyday try to charge it 30-40% to 80% you can charge it upto 100% after a week or 10 days that's how you can preserve your battery for a longer period of time, moreover if your battery is draining too fast it means battery is too old and it can't hold the charge for too long in that case you have the option of replacing your battery from an authorised dealer but make sure that battery must be original, hope it helps

I just bought used Galaxy S6 Edge+ for my sister to manage but after seeing the camera clarity of S6 Edge+, I got really disappointed with my S8+ camera!
My S8+ camera is very dull & blurred!
In fact, I have resolved to stop using it.
