Hey guys, I updated my Galaxy S8 to Oreo a few days ago and noticed that my battery is draining faster than usual... All my apps in the Play store and the Galaxy App store is up to date.. As for performance, it seems to be about the same.. I haven't experienced any improvement there.. If it helps, I have the Exynos 8895 powered Galaxy S8
Any clues as to what could be causing this battery drain issue? Any inputs are greatly appreciated!

However just on looks alone and screen the s8 is a winner. Cameras should not be very different although s8 may be better in low light. Then you need to decide whether you want ios or android. Perhaps go to your dealer and hold both of them and see which one appeals to you more. You won't go wrong with either of them.

I've been trying to do a lot of research as I'm upgrading from the terrible LG G5 and am deciding between the S8 and the Pixel 2/Pixel 2 XL. From what I can see, the Pixel 2 XL suffers from burn-in (probably thanks to LG) and overall it seems like the S8 is a better phone, though won't have as many updates. Any thoughts on one versus the other?

Since updating my S8 to andriod 8.0.0 my phone are having lots of issues getting hot, always on screen app keep on crashing. Phone are faster than before but it sometimes like its clitching anybody from S.A updated to this firmware on the MTN Network. I clean caches and also factory reset but still occuring

You can compare it on this site and see for yourself also you get vr support. If you plan to keep it for a couple of years then i recommend the S8 as for updates i don't really think about them after Oreo since the phone now is so smooth and perfect i don't need any more updates for it. Only thing i recommend is buy a REALLY good case if you plan on keeping it that long since it breaks easily as does the iphone but overall the S8 screen with it's small bezels is a beauty especially when compared to the iphone one.

I bought new samsung s8 plus midnight black 64gb yes... moreFirst time i've heard of such a problem, the only fix i can think of is go into settings-apps and clear the cache for every playstore related voice and if that doesn't work then uninstall playstore related updates and install them again.

Hello. I bought new samsung s8 plus midnight black 64gb yesterday. Unboxing was totally awesome and the phone itself was stunning. Then i tried to navigate the phone and whats inside. The specification is great and camera is clear. Then i tried to download some apps from google playstore. However it states download pending. So i tried to wait for it. After an hour. Still nothing was downloaded. So i tried to restart the phone. Then after it restart. There was a notification about oreo update. So i agreed on it. Then it donwloaded the oreo update with some additional enhancement on the specification and tools. Then i tried to check back with google playstore still the same.
Its been one day already but still i cant used my google play store. I tried to check some details online. Some say go to setting then apps then google playstore then forced stop. And it will works. However for me theres no changes.
Is there anyway that i can fix my google playstore. Hopefully someone can help me thank you.

Guys I need help. I am choosing between iPhone 7 32GB and Galaxy S8 64GB. Both are at an almost same price in India for $660. I know iPhone 7 will get around 3-4 years of OS updates and S8 might get 1-2 max. Performance and Camera are more or less equal on both the devices. Display definitely S8 wins hands down. Battery life might be same as well buy S8 has fast charging.
If OS is not a constraint and OS updates also do not matter and everything else being equal, what phone should I choose that would last me 4-5 years as I cannot spend so much on phones every few years?
Also, should I opt for any other phone in this price range or even cheaper which would have same performance and camera quality which is my priority and should last me few years.

Never Buy Galaxy s8 its useless phone.
Lot of network issues .
I am vodafone user i get full network in galaxy a7 16 edition .and same sim card i filled in galaxy s8 i get no network.(both at same place)
And nobody even helped for that issue yet for samsung team.

24, 29 Mar 2018My S8 is barely a year old. still great. might as well wait... moreI'm also waiting for S10 or possibly even S11. Or however these phones will be called, because Samsung might end the S line and come up with new name.
The S9's main advantage is the camera, especially in low light conditions. But my S8 camera is still good, and it's not a must for me to have the greatest camera on the market all the time.
I'm staying with my S8 untill something that really gets my attention comes up. Also, by using your phone for longer time - you get the most out of your money.

AnonD-257122, 31 Mar 2018I had the XZ which was very expensive the time when I bough... moreThat's why i said that the S8's 12MP still beats the XZ 20MP because the sensor is just that much better and the megapixel count means nothing these days. I'm using the S8 for months now and the camera hasn't let me down not even once, it's the 2nd best all around camera on the market right now and the best camera of 2017. I hope he made the right choice.
