And for sure Snapdragon will surpass Exynos and then Exynos get over and this will never be ending because development will never halted in this races.
But one can be sure is Samsung marketing will fooling all of you between these 2 versions.

Yes, all Samsung Galaxy S8's are compatible with 5G capable networks.

In that way you can say major support for two years. But after that also you will get general updates. For hardware support depends on your warranty which is generally one year. After that you have to pay.
On First Quarter of 2018 price of S8 will be reduce more. And it depends on your present mobile which you are using now. S8 will be good or not.

Very disappointed with the S8. I used it with the shipped protective case and additional protective screen cover. The phone screen cracked and splintered with a soft bump. This device needs to come with a "Extremely fragile" and "glass" warning. After many years and multiple Samsung products, this will be my last Samsung device.

I hope that Samsung will soon be able to make much better chipsets than their competition.

Apparently the Exynos chipset is a tad more powerful, efficient and better at RAM management as compared to the SD835, The Exynos also apparently has the better camera sensor [Samsung ISOCELL sensor] and a better DAC.. There is also no hardware lottery games being played with the Exynos powered S8 as each device has UFS 2.1 and not a mixture of 2.0 and 2.1 like in the case of the SD835 S8s.. With all of the above, the Exynos S8 is the Coveted version of the Galaxy S8 series

There will be a difference in everyday use, it's misleading to claim otherwise. The SD845 (China & US) will be much more efficient and will pack a bigger punch as regards to power and performance which in turn will benefit the end user in day to day usage.

You have also not mentioned the next-gen Exynos SoC which should be in all S9's outside of China and US.

Price: S8 will be much cheaper than S9 when S9 is launched
Features: S9 has SD845 vs SD835 in S8, which will not make any difference in day to day usage
Fingerprint placement: S9 will have better placement than S8

So the bottomline is: Spending more on S9 for just better fingerprint placement (S8 does not have that bad a placement TBH) is not a good option.

                                  Buy S8.

I'm currently using the S... moreMuch of the issues that you are having may be a result of the degradation of the battery in the S7 Edge itself. The battery does not last forever and deteriotes over time.

There is information out there that strongly imply that one of the main guys at Samsung (R&D) said that the S8's battery should degrade about 5% over 2 years, compared to 20% degradation of the S7's.

How long have you had your S7 Edge and did you buy it new?

Think of how many times the battery within your S7 Edge has been charged, and then take into consideration the well known fact that each and every time you charge the battery it's not as good as it once was.

The hardware contained within the S8 and it's bigger brother the S8 Plus has also been tweaked and optimised to produce a superior power efficient engine whilst delivering even better performance.
